i live near an active railway, and my friend who lives nearby lives adjacent to the rail. regulation dictates that the train sounds the horn before each crossing. there are three crossings within a mile of each other, and so the horn goes for each. it doesn't matter if it's midday or midnight. you can hear those horns for at least a half mile.

In district 69 the farm house is set to prioritize planting, you kept adding more area to plant so they weren't harvesting. Also I don't think you have a storage for carrots in that district, or your storage is to small. Otherwise great video, have a great day.

jo matt, the colored lines on the rails are probably blocks, denoting how many trains can move at the same time. meaning signals create railblocks so more trains can drive the same direction at the same time. and if that is true, you want a two-rail network, like a highway (which you should understand how that works)

Video 3 commenting about the Camera Tweaker Mod :P Allows you to zoom out quite a bit. Also prioritize the farmers on harvest instead of plant (or have one farmhouse do harvest and another one limited to one worker do planting for the same farmland so the harvests harvest the crops and the planter re plant) or the farmers will harvest one food at a time and then plant a new one in its place which takes a while.

2:03 I find that farming efficiency improves when you starting with two farm houses, one dedicated to planting and one to harvesting. That way, both functions keep going on at the same time. Also, you'll need more harvesters than planters as the size of your fields increase. Keeping the two functions separate helps keep labor focused on the right tasks.

Oh btw i utilize rivers quite regularly as building area. That leaves me with more area for growing trees and veggies. Typically my whole industry is located right above a river so i just connect them to waterwheels and windmills. Cost tons of wood but once set up i free up alot of space that way.

As a real old railway man (not old.. not a man.. but u know what I'm trying to say) I would love to rent an apartment at the railway foundation apartment house. The fact, that this house was not founded by the railway, but literally IS the foundation of the tracks, is just beyond heaven. Having trains crossing directly above my head will guarantee me my sweet railway romance dreams during the two hours of sleep per night. To my person, I‘m permanet employed by the RCE AG - Railway Cargo Economics AG. I’m a very tidy person, punktual with my payments like the railway ;) and also quiet, not listening to loud music or trampling. I‘m also a non smoking household, well of cause, because my 28 cats wouldn‘t like the smell and would mark over it (even more). Happy to hear from ya! :) Greetings!

The reason your water level drops emediatly after drought starts is because it empties out the whole you made on the cerounding wall. If you would put a dam there then you could hold some water in but let it out still. It would keep the water level around the same all the time instead of dropping down where your crops in center of main city dry out.

I used to be an installer and I went to an elderly home and it was built on top of an old river and because of that the building was often soggy but the water congregated in the elevator shaft so what they did was put a pump in the elevator shaft and the on-site caretaker showed me and my boss by getting the elevator to go up a little so we could have a nice look, it was pretty interesting and told us a bit of the history about the place.

Those trains are incredibly useful if you set them up correctly. If you make a passing lane by the lower station and section it off. DONT put sections on the bridge itself. You should be able to put 3 trains on this system. I think the trains are choosing where to go themselves without the need for you to guide them (hence the back into the storage lane is useless). But they shouldn't enter a block where another train is already present.

Berries are their least preferred food as far as I can tell, so if your stock of carrots stays near zero but you have berries on hand, that's a sign you should probably up your carrots production, but at least you have food in general.
