I don't get why British heart foundation have high prices, they get all the items for free - surely worth selling more items to make more money rather than it all sitting there too expensive and not selling. Its the only charity shop I leave in my town all the others are pretty decent prices.

Bog standard t shirts in the BHF by me are £10-£12 a pop they’ve also got a blag MONCLER coat hanging up behind the till it’s about the worst fake I’ve ever seen it looks like a bin bag and the stitching is all over the place on it….. they’ve got that up for sale for £350 👍 that’s not a typo btw… £350…. Absolute tool bags 👍

A tip I had for making fleeces lovely and bouncy is to put a bit of white vinegar in the wash I do it for my towels as well you’re welcome

Mate just subbed to you and quite happy with content,,I also am a reseller and have been for over 10 years,,one thing I have noticed -the charity shop prices are so so high some as high as actual new prices,,and they ALL sell on eBay and stock listed items (best items) in a back store room 😫

There was one of those new fast shirts, not as colourful as that, for weeks in my local hotspot for a quid! I deliberated for ages, coz it was niiiiice, mad good quality, clearly early 90s, but I went back for it and it was gone. Not a massive loss but I'll keep my eyes open for more.

Newer band t-shirts tend to be very hit and miss, the Lynyrd Skynyrd world tour t-shirt I’d imagine is £15-£20 plus post, I’ve actually got a flag from that tour which was sold comps around £25. The BHF in Burton Town centre had about 10 newer band tops all priced around £10 (retail around £15) the last time I was there 😬

That shooting Gilet should sell well. My partner bought a Chrysalis Shooting jacket for £15 before Christmas. Got it dry cleaned…. another £16…,, total £31…… sold for £165……… bellows pockets that expand to hold the shotgun cartridges. Nice days shopping 👍 🔥🔥🔥

i went to a BHF the other week near Liverpool and picked up a pair of colouful Nike Air Max for a reasonable price. When I got outside I realised they were terrible fakes. Took them back an hour later and said to the manager that I was returning them as they were clearly fake. Couldn’t believe her response. ‘Yes, they’re fake, if they were real we’d be charging a lot more’ So she admitted that shop were knowingly selling fakes. Staff that do that should be sacked on the spot IMO.

I have worked in charity retail for 25 years. I have never knowingly sold a fake, in fact its against trade description act. The charity cud get fined !!

So annoying that some charity shops price things so high! They get everything for free to profit for they're charity. But they seem to think they have to price things high because they think they know about vintage sales. Like some of them have the Vintage rails like you showed but completely over priced. I have offered to give things to charity shops and they have said they have too much stuff and cannot take anymore but they are guilty of doing the above! So crap when they could literally just price it to sell and make money for them selves and keep the economy moving.

I normally test them if I can and got the console to hand. But you can just state that they are untested and factor that into the price
