Kulitin natin ang gobyerno esp Department of Agriculture to revive, develop and support this pinipig rice! I’ve been searching for this kind…the last time I was able to eat it was several decades ago ! I I wish the DA , plus the Bureau of Plant Industry will develop, improve , support a lot of our agri crops/ food products, fruits , vegetables…we need food security - food supply tinatarget ng mga kampon ng dilim sa buong mundo para bawasan ang populasyon ng mundo!

NgAyOn Ko LaNg NaRiNiG aNg DuMaN. iTo DaPaT aNg PiNaGtUtUuNaN nG pAnSiN aT sInUsUpOrTaHaN nG aTiNg MgA pOlItIkO." It has already been recognized na ng PhilRice and has been taken actions to raise the purity ng binhi nito, at sa libo-libong ng variety ng rice sa pinas, malamang ang ganitong variety kahit unique interms sa kulay, ay hindi ganoon priority unless mataas talaga ang demand para sa variety tulad nito.

I wonder what it would taste like if you turn it into sake. If it is this rare and if it has a unique flavor profile then there could be a potential for it to be a premium product. That could hopefully incentivize more farms to produce it. And just like Champagne did to Champagne, the local government should put an effort to brand it after the province and protect the brand if the product hits it big.

I love the kakanin Duman from Betty's I thought it was a trendy name for suman being bibingka or sumthn but it was the rice pala. Inuruban is very good as well!

I love this when my grandma makes pinipig and serves it with thick chocolate… I really enjoy the unique maltose and fluffy flavour of this type of rice. This brings me back to my childhood in the Philippines. I’m sure IRRI UP Los Banos has kept the science and technology to grow this traditional produce.
