i think removing gore for a while could also be a smart move because they are such a small team and they need all the advertisement they can get, but advertising a game on the internet if it keeps getting age restricted is kind of hard. let the people see the physics and how the game works and make sure they know gore will be part of the finished product, that way you can get a way bigger audience!

I'd love to see what short blunt weapons like maces would do in the higher tiers given swords are only really effective using the hilt and you can put more force in with a mace compared to half swording.

The swings are a bit weird with the one handed weapons in the game so it’s very hard to get a good swing with them. That being said if you hit clean on the head it’s a W.

Yeah its harder to swing maces and axes for some reason (probably cause theyre heavier). I only found success with those when half swording, and if youre gonna half sword, a sword is better at exploiting weak spots in armor

@@NotSimo I usually just ditch the shield and two hand the maces like a bat. Fixes much of the wonkiness and hits like a truck. Something as well to consider is if an opponent is on the ground you can grab them and push them under the boards to win in a funny way.

Ideally you can switch to a blunt weapon once you put down your rival because a couple of blows in head or even in the chest can tenderize the meat to make him give up. Swords on the other hand are not reliable to do anything other than make the rival lose balance and fall, or parry, however they have a chance to land a thrust or a cut between the armor to an insta kill; surprisingly, they can accomplish that in close quarters even in a defensive stance

The historical accuracy of the arms and armor in this game is fantastic. Combine thar with the fact that the armor ACTUALLY WORKS! As well as the incredible blood and gore, and of course, the fact that it's fully physics based makes EVERY fight unique and intense in their own way.

If anyone wants tips on how to avoid just flailing around, turn the sensitivity down to like 20%. I would also recommend turning the lock on strength to max so you don't have to manually move the camera that much

I hope they add better collision mechanics for the weapons themselves. It feels like they never clash and go straight to the body at times. I'll deliberately move my weapon in the way of an attack and it generally wont matter. Otherwise, I am really enjoying the play test.
