This Red Hood Gameplay Will Blow Your Mind (Gotham Knights)

Hey guys! I see a lot of people commenting about the gameplay saying I was hit multiple times. This gameplay was recorded roughly 2 hours after the game was initially released. Some of the hits on Red Hood were left in the video to try to create a cinematic gameplay. I was aiming to create a similar fighting style to the new Batman movie or to Ben afflecks batman. In their movies they've been shot at, stabbed and punched while fighting. I thought it would be cool to carry on this realistic fighting style for video purposes and was not aiming to have a Faze Clan gameplay making the character look invincible. As for the difficulty I bumped it down to medium so that it wouldn't take 58 punches and 25 gun shots to take down 1 enemy or else the video would be 10 minutes long. I also wanted it to be easier to take out enemies with the pistols so that it's similar to Red Hood's pistol gameplay in Arkham knight. Unfortunately I wasn't as good as I am now in the first 2 hours of the game's launch and like I said just wanted to leave it in because I thought it added some realism to the gameplay. Other than that I wanted to thank all of you for the love and support on the video. I wasn't aiming for the video to be this big and would've probably done some things differently if I knew it would get over 500 views. This one of his better suits, Red Hood has a lot of fodder suits compared to the others. I actually enjoy the combat system, but I personally feel like from what I’ve played so far that it should be improved upon and refined more it leaves a lot more to be desired.

Well then go play the Arkham games. Problem solved. That style of gameplay doesn't work for this game when you realize that you fight considerably less enemies at a time than you would in any Arkham game. The goal of this combat system is to close the distance between enemies and take them out as quickly as possible one at a time and then move on to the next rather than juggle between gangs of things taking pot shots at you one at a time trying to maintain momentum. They're two different styles of combat that fits the vibe that each game is going for.

Telling people to go play a different game is a pretty poor argument when defending a game. I shall and I will play the Arkham games instead of this drivel, you don't need to tell me that. Since we're going around stating the obvious; this game would've been so much better if it were more like the Arkham games instead of butchering a proven formula. The only reason this game is even on anybody's radar is because of the Arkham games. You cannot not compare the two.

@@trainofthough0242 The freeflow combat is exclusive to the arkham series and exclusive to rocksteady's engine. They legally cannot use freeflow combat since this isn't a rocksteady title. Arkham origins has access to freeflow because they built the game using rocksteady's resources. And before you say Spider-man has it they don't, they took inspiration from the arkham series and made their own version of arkham's freeflow which isn't freeflow it's more like Gotham knights combat.

Been playing it safe with royalty free tracks, but they don't feel as cool compared to this. How were you able to use Batman begin's soundtrack?

So basically they don't penalize me for using songs like this is because I'm not monetized. If I was monetized then i'd be making money off of using the creators music and this is a no go for KZbin. That's when they would copyright strike me. One day when I get monetized I most probably will have to delete this video unless I'm able to unmonetize just this video. So if you're not monetized you can use whichever music you want and they won't penalize you.

The way Gotham Knights' OST lacks quality, were here jamming with Zimmer's. Also the cuts during the combat section still can't get a flow going. Which both reflect on the game's fundamental problems in Soundtrack and combat structures.

Even though i didnt buy it cuz im waiting for a sale, people gotta understand this was not meant to quench the thirst for a new Arkham like experience this is a brand new experience on its own, first of all its not made by the same people and also its not in the same universe as arkham so why people expected something like those games confuses me, if people look at it as its own thing it wont get nearly as much hate as its getting, a great example is AC valhalla, if you look at it as an assasins creed game its a bad game but if u look at it as a viking game its a great experience, yes every game has its issues and im not taking the side of gotham knights, people just have to see beyond and not see it as a “Arkham like game” and more as its own thing

Honest opinion, Gotham knights is okay, there are definitely better games to play then this, i didn’t hype this game up i just think its okay, the combat is decent and i understand why they couldn’t just have the Arkham games combat but would have been better and I think the reason why is because its slow and easy while the Arkham games are fast paced and you could fight like crowds of people and the different things you i had to defeat the thugs like brutes, the ninjas, the martial artist and what. The story is a good story and what not its just an average game also the graphics kinda sucks.
