This is how to catch tuna using feathers when fishing offshore in Florida. The blackfin tuna love it when the feather is back at least 250ft behind the boat. Putting it even further back like 300ft will also work amazing. The larger fishing pole you have the better because you want to troll your tuna lure super far behind the boat and clear all your other rods and lines in the water

I have been running this reel for a couple tuna trips now and we found the SWEET SPOT for catching tuna on the feather is 250-300ft behind the boat. We troll between 6-9 knots. Heiko, I am curious to know if you calibrated your reels to know if 250 ft is accurate? I bought 2 of these trollex reels last year after i saw you using the kracken reel. I planned to used them trolling for walleye on Lake Erie. The line counter is horrible. No matter what line I have used they are horribly inaccurate. The reels seem smooth and a little faster retrieve than the reels we have been using, but when you don't know if you let our 120 or 150 feet of line they are not much good. If you have any insight on how to set these reels correctly or have a connection a piscifun please let me know.

does the reel count line distance or rotations? typically for electric reels, it counts rotations of the drum, not distance, i would assume this does the same thing, but dont know.

I have the Trollix reel but haven't broken it in yet. That will be taken care of in the next few months though. The balls on the end of your chives are the mechanism for reproducing itself. You'll soon have seeds which you can plant. Cheers mon

I liked that you showed the reality that you don't hammer the fish every time you go out. But you can make this same video again about running your line at 250 feet. In the walleye world line counter rods make a big difference as you can be consistent with your bait presentation and depth.

I believe that reel is going to be pronounced "Troll E" X instead of trolley X since it's used for trolling. It just seems to make more sense. 😆..... Upon further review I think it's just pronounced Trollix (Troll icks) I went to their website and they don't separate the X. By the way they're already out of stock. 🤔

Hey my dude, are you sure that line counter is measuring in feet? Most of them count spool revolutions and not feet. Absolutely no shade intended on honestly interested to know.
