As much as I loved the OG Xbox (as it got me into the Xbox brand and Xbox Live was amazing) - I still think the Xbox 360 was the best console they released. I'm seriously tempted to buy a good condition used one (maybe the slim) and start collecting the games. I had one back in the day but sold it when I got an Xbox One which in turn I sold to get a One X which then went when I got a Series X. Heck maybe someday I'd like to have them all again lol

Love your videos, I watch the over and over. I bought an Xbox 360 from a garage sale, $5, five years ago. Sounds like a delivery truck without a muffler, but works. Also have a one S. Ps5 is my game system of choice, and the 360 was my first time buying an Xbox. GameStop is great if I go there and get the games, but I tried mail order, and got no case art, and an empty case. 😮😮

I actually own a 250GB Glossy Xbox 360 Slim since my dad got it for me a week after it came out (I bought a dragon skin to it afterward). Both of those Xbox 360 Slims look very good and clean as well. Around the beginning of the year, I bought a White Xbox 360 controller (of the Xbox 360 Arcade Console) from the Salvation Army for $8.72 ($6.72 with the discount).

I've never bought a console from GameStop, but I have bought some games for them, and the quality is definitely mixed. One of them has a replacement case, one has an broken original case, one had a reading error, but then one of them worked perfectly. It even still had manuals. But I agree with you, better to try and get your used games elsewhere (either garage sales, on eBay, or another local game store).

The reason BO3 asked for xbox live and an update is because BO3 for the 7th gen consoles only had multiplayer. Singleplayer was only on PS4/XBOne.

The dust and dirt is a special feature not exclusively from gamestop's but makes months to build up and becomes part of the consoles. If you find cockroaches. That tells you that you can check in but you don't check out. Extra special touch for your gaming pleasure.

Here in Canada, our Gamestops don't sell any retro games, only up to PS4 and Xbox One at the bare minimum along with Switch and current consoles. Unfortunately they're still as questionable with they're used games as you stated. My cousin bought me two PS4 games from Gamestop for my birthday and Christmas, I'm a December baby, one being Crash N'Sane Trilogy, and the other being Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. When I went to play Crash on my birthday it worked fine for a few minutes and then the game crashed, and there was no sign of damage on the disc, I even bought myself a new copy of the same game from Amazon and can confirm that the one I bought works perfectly fine, even playing it at the time of this comment. As for Uncharted that I got for Christmas, when to put the game into the system to install, they put the wrong Uncharted game in the box. My cousin went to the Gamestop he got the games from after the holidays and never got back to him. I was lucky at one point from Gamestop, I had bought myself a used copy of Nier: Automata game of the YoRHa edition with working DLC codes in them. Thought they'd be used when I got it, but instead I got to redeem them.

Game Stops version of refurbishing. Look at it really hard with console being together and say yup that's a console. Spray it down have a magic eraser at hand and wipe it down with either magic eraser or rag. Send to the next guy to pack it up in a box and send it out.

have you ever try to use a og xbox 360 harddrive on the 360 slim me and my late ex- brother in law got to work when I got my first xbox 360 slim back in 2010 mine was a 4gb and I use a 60gb harddrive that use for the fat model xb360 and slide it in the xb360 slim and got it to work.

More likely, whoever works for gamestop, refurbishing these consoles, is probably supposed to go through a checklist of things they need to do for each console... but instead if the console turns on and sounds fine, they rip the sticker off and check everything off as done so they can slack off at work and show they "refurbished" a certain amount of consoles every working day. I'd bet they are gonna keep getting away with it too since they probably have managers that have no idea how to do anything related to refurbishing, and they just trust the employees work is being done right. Then people get these and the console works well enough to get the console to last past the return date, and gamestop has no reason to worry about this process being garbage since they don't really lose anything over it being done improperly. For those of us who have had jobs like this, this is most likely. 9/10 people I have worked with were always doing the bare minimum at work and doing everything they could to get away with to skip anything they deemed "unimportant'.
