There are so many well-deserved compliments for Lizzy here, I too am impressed! But we also need to recognize Matt and the rest of the guys who have accepted her as part of the crew, have mentored and supported her, and recognized that she is competent in her own right. Not just a girl, a pretty face, but a ready, willing and able crew member who has proven herself worthy of their respect. Congratulations to you all: Lizzy, Matt, gentlemen. And thank you. As a now 75 year old farm girl who has worked all her life in welding, mechanicals, construction and heavy equipment operation, I am thrilled to see Lizzy get the opportunity and respect she has earned. Absolutely. There was a missed opportunity on the second recovery to mention why in that particular situation it was ok to put the towrope on the pickup's trailer ball: the pickup wasn't stuck, it just wouldn't run. There was no resistance when they pulled it back to get it in position for the front tow. Had it actually been stuck, I imagine they would have done it differently.

Years ago I saw a rancher attempt a snatch on a mud stick combine. My cousin and I were driving by and he asked us to help him. We tried to talk him out of it but he insisted and had my cousin in the big harvester. He had a chain on the axle and pulled with a 1 ton dually ranch truck. The chain either broke or came off, split the tailgate top to bottom, took the pump off a bed mounted fuel tank, went thru the back window and out thru the front glass. Luckily he ducked when he felt sudden slack. Pretty sure he soiled himself.

@@MattsOffRoadRecovery I have seen this more than once, and it nearly decapitated me one time. You start a recovery with a method that can be safe (i.e. chains but with a slow, steady pull), and the driver of the recovery vehicle gets frustrated and begins to yank instead. In our case (circa 1997), the chain snapped on the third pull while we were yelling at him to stop and rebounded into the tailgate of the stuck truck that I was in - bending it inward over 30 degrees. Just a couple inches higher and it would have been through the back window of a late-80s Toyota - and us. Since then I only use recovery-rated straps (or ropes), and if it looks sketchy AT ALL, I wrap a towel around the midpoint to redirect any potential projectiles downward in the case of failure.

Love seeing the growth Lizzy has done while with MORR! From sleepy gal in the back seat, to team lead on a recovery, learning to weld, and learning how to be comfortable in front of the camera. Young lady has the skill set to run the operation (At least on the ground side, dunno how she is on the paperwork and business end of things. Yet.) as the person in charge. Her dad seems to be a smart dude. Making sure things are fueled up before you start is pretty professional. Not sure how old Lizzy is, but I'm betting that my daughter is a tad older than she is. Daughter chose a professional career with a degree, over the blue collar workforce, but that's ok. She's happy, likes her job and gets decent pay. Love seeing Lizzy on the channel, though. Gonna be a smile in there somewhere, that brightens things. Even when it's raining. (Good job Lizzy, on being the only one prepared for rain, with a rain jacket!)

Haven't been around the channel long. So Trevor is Lizzy's father?

@@exothermal.sprocket No. No one in the videos is her dad.

@@williamsanders2808 Ah okay. I didn't think so, but thanks for clarifying. From everything I've seen, she has had a very worthwhile home life.
