Peanut is the smartest about finding ways to cool down. When the other dogs are standing in a puddle she's trying to dive in it to get as wet as possible. She'll dig holes in the hot sand to find some cooler sand to lay in, and cool down. Hell of a dog. Rarely if ever is she more than 3 feet away from Matt, unless she's leading the way on a recovery of course. Matt, you and LIzzie once talked about how you found her on the side of the road, can you talk about that? Do the dogs come home with you after work, or do they live at the shop?
@aphextwin5712

Them finding Peanut was shown in one of their recovery videos. Peanut was found in the shade under a road bridge over a dirt road, if I remember it correctly it was fairly close to Hurricane. The dogs live at the shop (with Ed) AFAIK.

One of the many reasons I am such a big fan.....your channel got me into watching more about trucks than ever.....now into trophy trucks and the immense technology that make all of that possible. I am always in awe of watching the travel of the suspension of trucks..the engineering is what leaves me shaking my head....just amazing.....on the trails that you do recoveries it reminds me that folks that are taking trips into national parks....with vehicles that are not really set up to do that.....we find how many trucks have no business being there....many of those vehicles need huge suspension upgrades in order to get in and out of there unharmed.

When I was about seventeen, my cousin's Scout troop did a raft trip down the Colorado river. We took about three weeks on half a dozen rafts and a canoe, some twenty odd boys. It remains one of my best memories fifty years later. I've been back a few times, last time about 15 years ago, I reckon it's about time for another trip, took about ten thousand miles last time. I feel the same way about the Grand Canyon. It's almost too big to really be able to grasp what you're looking at. My favorite canyon is the snake river canyon in Idaho. If on the Flying Monkey trail, The petrified log was probably in Triassic (about 250 million year old) Moenkopi formation. It was near the coast…. Beach front property! “The general deposition setting was sluggish rivers traversing a flat, featureless coastal plain to the sea. The low relief meant that the shoreline moved great distances with changes of sea level or even with the tides.”

The best off road wrecker right there. Why do they call them wreckers anyway? Shouldn’t it be unwrecker or dewrecker or something like that? Maybe wrecktifier? That’s it, it’s an off road wrecktifier.

Do you think that you cand make up some quick? Disconnect seats that you can put on the back of the record on either side. Maybe that would help your seating problem.

@14:23 - I totally agree. Years ago I took a trip out west going as far as 4 corners. By the time we got to the Grand Canyon I had the exact same reaction. "Ehh" I had already been desensitized by the drive over, spent 5 minutes on the look out, and drove off. Do the park justice and plan ahead to spend some time there. I missed a great opportunity back then.
