If you guys love Vox Kitchen, try the restaurants Nếp and Gem over in Fountain Valley, California. It's supposedly the same owner. Nếp is open from 9AM-5:30PM and after is Gem Dining as they share the same space.

I’ve been to Vox a few times. The garlic noodles are one of my faves. The lomo saltado is very good too. I want to try the congee. I don’t think I saw that on the menu before. The wings are really good too. Need to make a trip to Vox soon.

Been many times as well. Some of these looked new to me, like the congee and brussel sprouts.

I'd love to try the garlic noodles! I like garlic in almost all savory dishes.

I've been there and had both the Lomo Saltada and Saltada De Pollo. It was good. Sorry, was married to a Peruvian and have been to Peru and there's nothing like the real Peruvian Saltadas. I'm highly open minded and will say these two dishes were good and had their own style. I give them lots of credit for that. I make the Saltada at home much the original Peruvian way. BTW, I love most Asian cultural dishes, fusion, etc...so it's nothing to do with not having a palate for that. Only natural that the country of origin has particular dishes down beyond others

Do you live in The OC? Have always wanted to try this place. Don’t think I live far from it, since I’m in Westminster and Little Saigon is right here. When are we going to do a foodie video together? A foodie challenge? Right here in the area. Lets make it happen.

this place is located in fountain valley. in the plaza with the albertsons across from miles square park. definitely worth it to try but definitely get on the yelp wait list. they get super busy, especially by dinner.

It's always weird hearing Americans say Lychee as lee-chee. That's so close to sounding like a leech. I don't know how others say it but us Aussies say lai-chee.
@paelie3 жыл бұрын
Lee-chee is closer to the Mandarin pronunciation of the name of the fruit, which originated in china. The Cantonese pronunciation is closer to lai-chee. I think in Australia, there's probably a larger Cantonese population than in the US, which is why lai-chee is more prevalent there.
