Wait till you get your hands on the new Nanrobot D4 3.0, soo much more capable! I only have the 3.0 but talking to allot of ppl that have both or that sold there 2.0s for the 3.0 or D6 ect... Besides just the suspension upgraded to the front,wich I can say is incredible...I mean you can adjust from realy stiff or bouncy where you can preload and bunny hope while moving, haven't mastered the later lol. I talked with roadrunner scooters when I had some questions and they said they (Nanrobot) sometimes upgrade stuff without even telling them,I showed them the machined hydraulic breaks that came on mine and even they were excited and said that was the first pair they had seen so far. Most I've seen in videos on KZbin have the 2.0 black breaks and there decent but there's no way they can compare to the new ones! Absolutely the smoothest,1 finger effortless but rock solid stopping performance. The breaks are so great that once you get the ebs set correctly it gives you even more balls to try hitting even faster speeds then normal! I thought I heard you say 35mph downhill slightly? Roadrunner said there using new 1,000watt motors now for the 3.0, just a Lil more torquey/snappy higher rpm possibly and at 165lbs at 30 degrees out wearing 2 coats and dressed warm with a backpack, I was hitting 42mph on flats,and it climbed there fast even with fast start on 1 lol. Iv hit 45 down a small hill and this thing is insane for its price.. I think of it as an offroad D6, just more geared for offroad and abuse. Slightly lighter and same powerplant,only few amps different but the less weight makes up for that..I know you like agilty, speed,acceleration and range and the 3.0 has it all... Iv gone 13 miles and came back and had 70% battery, even romping it around balls to the wall the battery goes and goes,they must be using new batteries as well because I could get atleast 25-30 miles in 3rd/turbo pegging it,and who know 45+ in eco/1... Just seeing how much you enjoyed this one till you beat it up a Lil I just think you would absolutely love the new and improved 3.0....

5:04 is where I hit the top speed. Down a steep hill with turbo and dual mode on. Voltage decreased when I hit top speed which means the motors weren't pushing their hardest, which implies the speed is electronically limited.

Just tried it out on a stand for fun. With no weight on the wheels at all the max speed is 36mph. So when you're going downhill above that speed the motors cut off, which is why I saw voltage increase.

FWLIW I have a d4+ 2.0 bought specifically for off-road use in Greece. I rarely use for such because where I live tracks are mostly made of irregular fist-size rocks and smaller, with occasional bigger ones. I can take about 5 minutes tops before I feel like I'm going to be rattled apart! It's still useful for tooling around paved back roads. My being 50+ probably doesn't help - consider this scooter's suspension fine for adsorbing impacts but utterly useless for rattling over rough ground. A quick tip: Ditch the OEM innertubes for better quality ones and fill them with slime if you intend going off road at all - It's a heavy scooter.

I am very curious how going off road will effect your scooter in the long run. Its my opinion that any under $2000 scooter will have quick problems with hard off-roading. That sound you hear from the front is the beginning of the folding mechanism having problems - this is something that almost all scooters have trouble with. I'm curious too! That's definitely part of the test. With that rear suspension and 4 coils in the front and 4” knobby tires, I'm hoping it'll hold up decently well. The folding mechanism had problems on my scooter after day 1 so I took it apart and reassembled it, it makes no noise. The entire scooter handlebar assembly and front wheel are attached to the deck and rear wheel, and they held together by 1 small screw and nut though. So there's that :p

This scooter had a top speed of 32 on flat ground. It's not as great as you think, it broke and I returned it. Zero 10x is much better. I would just buy a dual drive scooter over 2k watts from somewhere in your country that offers a great warranty. Scooters break eventually, and they are all expensive.

Yes. Change your tire size to 6 in the parameter settings and the factory speedo will read very close to GPS. Factory speed settings are a joke.

If you take it apart when you get it and put loctite on every screw , then put it back together. And are religious about keeping everything tight and well maintained (these things are pretty garbagey and will rattle loose or develop cracks on the frame from hard riding) then I think you'll be fine. The footage in the video that we're both commenting on actually broke my Nanrobot so don't ride it as hard as you see in this video.

@@GT-ft6it zero 10x is a much more reliable option and the suspension on that scooter would be leagues better than this Nanrobot for those bumpy DC roads. The front suspension on the nanorobot is basically all or nothing and very clunky and comes loose. You can hear it clunking along in this video. Nanrobot is one of the least professional and worst companies I've ever dealt with that all. from a sales and customer service perspective I will never be doing business with them again. I recommend that you stay far away from their products. That's my 2 cents.

Ginger On Wheels I literally exposed a local retailer for selling a ripoff with a limited battery that only supplied 1440watts max. I’ll be uploading my testing of that battery because they sent it to me in a free GTR unit (single motor version of the d4) I had a feeling it would have been, I already did the footwork to find a better front end and I also have 100v E-Bike controllers I can abuse the living shit out of 😈 Be ready to see the wolf v my personal gtr one day ;)

Stay away from both. Nanrobot is garbage compressed into the shape of a scooter. They aren't worth half what they charge for them.

@@bullridermusic2054 The stem didn't get loose, it cracked. One of the suspension arms got stuck, and it went 8mph slower than advertised... none of the screws were loctited. It was a $4-500 feeling alibaba type scooter.

Nanrobot Buyers Beware! I bought two nanrobots and they've been a pita to deal with. One didn't work out of the box. They sent a replacement and it lasted 20 miles before it stopped working. They said, ship to us on your dime and we can fix it for 300-350! ha. Funny stuff. Lesson learned! Research before buying! On to another brand for us.

Have to reluctantly agree with you. Just got a D4+ and right out of the box the front motor doesn't work and the handlebar collars that are supposed to lock in place are frozen solid and don't move. I like Nanrobots, but pretty cheap quality unfortunately China pride product. The seller is supposed to send me a replacement. Hopefully everything will work out in the end okay.

@@NoMadCity555 I love it! 300miles so far. Custom RGB lighting, JBL sound bar mounted, turn signals, rear view mirror, Swapped to street tires, and have a custom 52V ranger extender being made by my buddy who is a Ninebot guru. Only issue is there is no one to trail blaze with.

All of it! The suspension first, then the throttle, then the brakes, then the stem latch mechanism. And after all that Nanrobot support never bothered to reply to me. Even after I offered to buy the spare parts that I needed. Eventually I issued a chargeback with my credit card and it was only then that they issued me a return shipping label for the entire scooter, which I wasn't expecting but gladly took them up on.
