NFTs are better. I have a WoW account with 8000 hours played that I haven't touched for 5 years. All of that work, all of those in-game gold and items, just there, until the end of time. Or Blizzard deletes the game from existence. Will you play Rocket League forever? Maybe. But some people will move on and never play again. Then what do you do with all your in game items? Exactly as my WoW account. The account just exists and ceases to ever be used again. Your credits and items trapped in the game forever. With NFTs you could liquidate and move on. At least you'd get something out of all you put into the game. How does the gaming community not get that?

No. NFTs are unique. There are lots of each rocket league item. A better comparison would be trading cards or crypto. NFT's are for people who don't care about money
