@Axim Tomphsm It was actually all the way back in 2018 when me and another friend were finishing on a different build, "Eerie Mansion", that we thought it would be really cool to make some sort of boat ride and as time went on we thought of a pirate theme and thought of some way to do a bunch of pirate clichés like the kraken, megalodon, and sirens. And I finally put together a coherent story line about a curse in February 2021, which was when the ride actually stated to be built. The ride plan was literally completely drawn up before we built a single thing so we knew exactly what we wanted to do, although the plans did change around some here and there. It mainly just started from the want to build a fun boat ride system. Most of our ride ideas spark from randomly experimenting with new ways to make a ride system or a random story plot we think of.

I just wanted to point out that from an engineering perspective, this ride is entirely possible. Things like the kraken scene would probably be the source of a lot of downtime though.

That is already doable with a third party renderer pipeline injector such as ReShade but there are plenty others too.

the mermaids, were sirens that 'lured' you to them, so they could feast, but due to their skill at mimicking mermaids, you wouldnt be able to tell them apart, until you get close, then they would shed that mimicked skin to reveal their original skin to swim faster(i think) and eat you, and they shed their skin so that their pray, you, will panic and freeze to eat you easily but the last part (starting at 'i think') is just my idea of how their would love to hunt you

Sadly a custom game wouldn't help with the file mod needed for sounds and would be hard to get it to load the ride and all of its components afaik. This ride is 10 months old at this point so it probably wouldn't be too worth to convert it to a custom game anyways. We did look into a simple program you'd run to just move the files to the right places to instantly install the world and data pack for you, but we ultimately decided people would most likely not feel comfortable using that. If the devs would just reintroduce supported sound modding, things could be so much easier.

New water has physics we don't want, cant hide things with depth, cant slope, and is very hard to work with. The water we used was a bunch of custom modded parts we made with many sizes and slopes for hills. Plus when we started building this, new water didn't exist. And glad you liked it, thanks!
