Sig Linkwitz introduced the LX521 in 2012, and it is still the best 11 years later! That's what comes from fundamentally good design.

All audiophile music sounds great on KZbin, because it contains few instruments playing in different frequency ranges. This particular loudspeaker makes some boxy sound despite it's baflleless. It overloads my head with some 100Hz. Mid range tonal balance is shifted to highs. Some attempt to create "an expensive sound" is obvious.

That Chesky shaker track is a demo I love! This was one of the 4 best sounding rooms I visited. The $40k Field Coil speakers were interetsing. Jeff Josephs Pulsars sounded better than ever. My true love is the Aavik/Borresen Room and the $70k 200wpc Class A amp with the 01s is the cat's pajamas for me. They were thrilled by Fremer's acetate LP he played . Damn I missed that!

I've never heard of this brand before. They look like they could be a DIY project found in a garage sale but holy crap. These sound absolutely stunning! Possibly my favorite speakers you've posted so far from the PAF 2022. Would love to hear these in person. Thank you for sharing.

Yeah.. Looks are deceiving. Almost all speakers use a linkwitz crossover, so there aren't many people more qualified to make speakers... But the looks are definitely polarizing and don't have the glitz of others.

That sense of a band playing together like this, you just don’t get on cheap hifi , this is where my friends and family can’t grasp that no music is not just music . I could feel the bass in my headphones, was it felt in the room like that? Thanks for the vid your a nice humble person .

they look great and sound great. but would've been perfect if they could make the upper baffle portion a bit shorter. there must be at least 6 inches to get rid of. like dropping the lower and upper midrange and the twitter . shorten the base that holds the tower , then you'll have a more compact speaker. IMO of course.
@toddclarke1580

I believe that the best sounding speakers available need to have open baffle like these , or a additional rear driver to deliver the stunning depth needed to create Physical Space Instrument Reproduction.

Tell me please, as I understand it, each speaker has its own amplifier? What 10 amps do you use? Two boxes use 5 amps each, what are those amps? Do they have one power supply or does each amplifier have its own? what kind of crossover is used? what building is he in? Thank you.

I'll have a video with the Jazz Variants track I featured in other videos this show and past shows. The bass is impressive and very dynamic. I just can't upload the video now because it also has the Beatles on it and KZbin blocked it. I have to wait until I get back home and can edit out the Beatles part of that video.

$25k no beryllium tweeter, too expensive?
@AudiophileJunkie
@AudiophileJunkie Жыл бұрын
Don't make the mistake of buying speakers based on tweeters. Frankly, many people I know avoid speakers with Be tweeters, but it's more about integration either way. Remember also you're getting amplification for the price versus other speakers. Many Be tweeter speakers are multiple times the cost of these and you still have to buy amps....no Be tweeter speaker I know can be found with a panzerholz baffle either.

Beryllium cones are too expensive for them? Cmmon guys, from 20k they have enough profit for 100 cones. I can make the same x10 cheaper that will sound only x2 times worse. But for some reason many people need that 1% improvement even if nobody else hears it.
