After a few hard-earned days off, the squad are back together in Le Touquet training harder than ever as they prepare for the next Rugby World Cup test in the shape of Samoa.
Ellis Genge opens up on everything from the pressure of representing your country during challenging times to the pain of wasting money on an unnecessary Fast Pass at Disneyland. Meanwhile, head coach Steve Borthwick discusses the impact of the fans and the squad dynamic and mindset.

I love Genge, an aggressive beast on the pitch, and a humble down to earth lad off it. Legend

Englands greatest strength is focusing on the detail and focusing on one game at a time. Fans and media have low expectations and may be the most underrated team of the tournament

Gengey is such a good role model for the upcoming generation of players. From Where hes come from and struggling with his dyspraxia. He really has developed as a person and it shows on and off the field. The boy from Knowle 🌹

In 5 years time i can see both Andy and Owen Farrell coaching international teams. Owen seems a natural coach and probably may make a better coach than a player.

You can’t ignore the fact we’ve been very fortunate to have such an easy group, it’s allowed us to build up a bit of steam, we still aren’t playing very good rugby but hopefully we continue to improve and actually start to back ourselves and play to our strengths and get ourselves ready for what will be a very tough quarterfinal and beyond

Were Youngs and Ford practicing slow ball from the ruck and catching passes that are both too low and too high? And was Smith leaning how to take a hit from a centre that is twice his size?

The sound mixing could do with some work, I realise Steve is a soft talker but the general audio balance and loudness isnt consistent throughout.

“We’re going to be hard to beat”? oh dear. Why not say we’re going to be fucking unstoppable? Because with the right mentality this team could be. They have the talent, size and support structure to be the best in the world. Just need to cut out all the bullshit.

Sorry but that performance against Samoa was embarrassing. Borthwick is so out of his depth he is swimming at the bottom of the Marianas Trench. Have to reluctantly wonder if a QF loss to Fiji is best because once we play the big guns it will be a bloodbath. A truly sad state of affairs.......
