It's said by the "Gaster Followers" (REALLY rare characters that show up randomly and talk about the Royal Scientist before Alphys, and they call him "Gaster") Plus the sprite for the lasers Sans uses are called "gasterblaster" in the files. So Gaster's name IS in the game. Multiple times

For your understanding about the first episode, chara entered frisks body and took control as soon as they were about to reset. Thats why frisk kept dying until chara got into the picture

There are a couple of things you'll need to know about these characters before understanding Glitchtale's plot. I assume you already know undertale's, so here's pretty much what's happening. Frisk has went through millions of timelines in Glitchtale, experimenting with every part of the world. Every time they did Genocide, they gained HATE. This HATE could control them, so they dumped it all onto Chara's soul, (which is why chara is how he is in the first episode and the later episodes). Sans is Sans, like usual. However, when he gains Frisk's soul, he basically becomes very powerful due to the DETERMINATION. SPOILERS Gaster's father is a man named Roman. Roman was basically a more powerful version of Gaster. Gaster and Roman both possess a VERY unique and rare type of magic called "Chroma Magic". Chroma Magic allows the user to be able to imitate all 7 soul traits. These traits being Kindness, Patience, Bravery, Integrity, Patience, Justice and Determination. Each user of this magic expressed it in different ways. For Gaster, he summoned 7 hands with holes in them, and the holes were filled with the colour of the soul traits. For Roman, (Gaster's father), he summoned 7 hands that had the fingers as the colours of the soul traits. So with Gaster's, each hole would be filled with a different colour. For Roman's, each hand's fingers would be the colour of the soul trait. For more understanding, you can check out "Glitchtale Origins: GASTER". Now. There was another user of Chroma Magic, who was like a peacock type of monster. She had 7 feathers, and the "middle" of the feathers would be filled with a different colour. Now, having Chroma Magic would require you to be skillful with it (obviously), since it's a type of magic that is not common at all. Gaster was trained to not move at all while he was fighting. Moving onto Gaster's "story". He was once the royal scientist of the underground, and he made the CORE, the main power source of the entire underground. One day, he fell into his own creation, splitting him apart and scattering shards of him across different timelines and universes. Gaster also has 2 sons, Sans and Papyrus. However, when Gaster had these two sons, he gave both of them 50% of his power (no, he didnt give them chroma magic), leaving him with barely any of his own power. When both his sons are alive, Gaster's eyes are blue and red. When only Sans dies, he gains back 50% of his power and his eyes turn only red. When only Papyrus dies, Gaster also gains 50% of his power back, and his eyes turn only blue. When both of his sons die, he gains back his full power and has access to polychromatism. Polychromatism is where his eyes go purple, and he can use all traits at once. His big hands, small hands and one MASSIVE gaster blaster spawn when he uses this. Basically, his full power is him having access to all his attacks, one massive gaster blaster and his eyes are purple. He can also drain his two sons' magic to use this, but if he does drain this magic too much, the sons can die. Gaster's magic was lost when he fell into the void, however, so he could only rely on void magic and his gaster blasters. When he came out of the void, he got his powers back, but he wasn't still fully reformed as you can see by his legs. Gaster is basically powerful as fu-

I always thought there was just one genocide run in glitchtale, as *SPOILERS* at the end of continue Sans says that he remembers every timeline including the "one" where Frisk killed everyone, not the "ones".

@@witherslayer4239 Well, if Frisk says they've experienced EVERYTHING, that means they must have experienced the genocide more than once because they probably saw that they cant encounter So Sorry, or they saw Chara's dialogue when you do 2 genocide runs.

Its pretty much confirmed later by Chara that this is Frisk's only try at finishing genocide. And even if you still believe they did genocide once, the fact that they say that they haven't seen Gaster's door before contradicts that(though that has some potential retcons)

Wow.... Gaster went through being in the goid since sans was young, experiencing all of the infinite timelines until this point. In addition to being forgotten, he felt betrayed, AND abandoned the whole time. Time and that stuff probably doesnt exist where gaster is, so he probably can't die of old age and has likely been in there for HUNDREDS, if not *THOUSANDS* of years. What if you were trapped in a room with no entertainment or social contact for thousands of years and going insane and your only chance of escaping is killing a child who killed all of your species for so many times you lose count?
