This Set Bonus is INSANE - Rise of The Ronin Prodigious Dragon Guide

In the midnight difficulty you can acquire Masterwork Level Gear upon defeating enemies and completing missions. In the latest update, Team Ninja added two new Set bonuses : Ferocious Tiger and And Prodigious Dragon. The Prodigious dragon set has in my opinion the best bonuses since they effectively and positively change the way you play the game. From always having style advantage to reducing your opponent’s Max Ki, the set bonus is nothing short but a miracle. I am still far away from having the “best” build but those set bonuses change everything. The grind though….

I put on a movie and save scummed to get Ryomas handpicked cologne just so I could get the -1 set bonus requirement so I only had to equip 6 instead of 7.

For the Max Grapple Attack on the PD set bonus, someone on Reddit said the grapple martial art from the veiled edge katana style does work in the dojo, haven't had a chance to confirm myself yet.

How bout map respawn setting in NORMAL difficulty? Sometimes you don't want to try hard all the time. Put maybe that's just me.

What does save scummed mean?

Basically you save your current state before doing anything definitive like gifting a character some gifts. If after doing so you dont get the items you were expecting, then you just load your save and redo the gifting as if nothing happened. Could be applied to other aspects of the game and other games as well

@@Djisso I did that when I started gambling to get $$ in Act 1. Bet a 1000 and win, then save. If I lose, I just reload my save like nothing happened. I'm not quite done with Act 3 on my first playthrough yet, so I'll give the gifting saves a try.

Guess what. I'm level 99 now...soon enough to be level 100 and jump for joy. I see you only got 4/6 Prodigious Dragon. Are you finding it hell like me to get the last one need for 6/6? I got all 4 armor already with Pro Dragon included so I don't need any more for armor. That then leaves Accessories because they don't even have them for weapons which for the life of me I can't understand why. I only have found one included with Pro Dragon (so that makes 5) but haven't been able to get one other for 6/6. I'm not really interested in Ferocious Tiger despite having multiple of them so just one accessory has it. So tell me. Have you gotten 6/6 Pro Dragon yet?

I have gotten 5 so far and Still am missing the one which comes from the Handpicked cologne. I do have all the one with Ferocious Tiger though so my grind will be minimal. And I think maybe they are saving the weapons for future bonuses, that would be my only guess. I do wish you could change the stats on accessories though

@@Djisso Thought so. We're in the same boat. Getting one included with a Masterwork Handpicked cologne will be a hard grind because the only way to get it is to reset the public order area in Yokahama with Ryoma, beat him and hope for the best. Thing is resetting auto hikes up the public order areas to level 100. That's just to tedious a grind for me especially when there's a low chance of it dropping. Long story shot, it's just much too hard to get 6/6 of any of those new sets with too few options to equip them on. Yeah it would have been great if you could change stats on accessories too.

@@DieKao Yeah but ask him how come he's only been able to get 5/6 still? The problem is getting that 6th set of any of them, especially Pro Dragon when there are limited gear available to house them and they're not available for weapons and very scare for accessories. Plus gifting is a very tedious process whereby you could be gifting from whenever to kingdom come before you can even get a veiled vow and drop for so doing.

You know, I love Team Ninja games like Nioh and Rise of the Ronin but I hate the Diablo style loot system. It's my least liked thing of the games.
