I'm so dumbfounded by people these days. It's so incredibly tiring and trying to deal with a society that just wants to criticize and bring people down. I have always found you to be professional and honest in your reviews. You are probably the "beauty guru" that I trust the most because you are upfront about everything. Thank you for being you and for providing us with honest opinions about makeup products. You have saved me so much money through the years and I'm grateful for it.
@daydreambelieving15574 жыл бұрын
@@callwyse you've rather confused me, how does arrogance enter into someone not using a product because it is too steep a price? You earn more with more subs to your channel, and some of the "beauty gurus" then start using extortionately priced products. So someone with more subs, who doesn't believe in an expensive product and won't use them again, I think that's rather incredible. I'd hate if they promoted a product they don't use, think isn't worth the money, but recommends it to us. So I'm rather confused by your comment. Also, hope I'm not being too harsh or rude. Genuinely wondering.

@@callwyse yeah, you've lost me amongst your snotty little reply. I never said anything about it being me. Literally nowhere in my comment have I spoken about it being myself and not the Influencer you are referring to. I asked how arrogance enters into it when an influencer refuses to use an overpriced product. I didn't understand your original comment and asked for clarification as to why that makes someone arrogant. Just asking to make it make sense. I also wasnt rude or harsh. I bought the setting spray a couple of days ago. I used it yesterday and noticed the fragrance upon application, obviously. I have to say that I found it quite pleasant. A beautiful floral whiff at the end of my makeup application. I thought it was nice. I didn’t find it overbearing or heavy at all. We’re all different and I’m sorry that Wayne suffers from those headaches. I know that fragrance is something people feel strongly about. I’ve heard that it can be bad for our skin. All I know for sure is that I loved using Charlotte’s setting spray and I’m so glad I purchased it. I look forward to the brief floral scent at the end after spraying. As for how the product delivered, my makeup stayed in place all day. I didn’t powder or need to touch up once. 5 Stars 🌟😍💅

It's like she's shot to fame over night LOL I haven't tried any of her products yet. I use UD's All Nighter Ultra Matte setting spray. I just sprayed the back of my hand with it, let it dry and then swatched some Too Faced blush and sprayed again. First, the UD setting spray was quite shiny to be an ultra matte product (I do NOT notice this on my face tho). Second, I CAN'T GET IT TO BUDGE! It won't rub off, it won't scrape off. I suppose it will wash off with soap and water but I haven't tried that yet. Interesting video. Thanks Wayne!

My eyes would break out, the eye doctor wouldn’t let me wear it. So, I too now am HIGHLY sensitive to fragrance- as is my husband. The chemical in fragrance do not agree with my body, I was so sad to see it in this setting spray. I wanted a good setting spray since I’ve had to switch to clean makeup (no allergies there) and need the makeup to stay. So, I’m looking for a setting spray and saw reviews from others that Charlotte’ Tillburry setting spray caused a migraine. Thank you for this review 🙏🏽😭 I wish companies kept fragrance out of makeup 😭

This from the Charlotte Tilbury website, Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray page: _"Aromatic Resin - an aromatic resin from the bark of a tree grown on the Greek Island of Chios which helps to keep pores clear."_ Perhaps the scent is not added as an afterthought, but is intrinsic to the "aromatic" resin which is a critical ingredient. The thing we hate is the thing that we want. Sounds like love.

Amen on the fragrance comments! I had to pass up an almost perfect bronzer (which are very limited for dark-skinned women) because they decided to make it strong coffee scented. The smell of coffee gives me a headache as you, Wayne, described. I don't drink it or like it. The reviews for the product itself were great but many complained about the coffee smell. Why don't companies understand that by adding fragrance they're missing out on sales. Someone is highly unlikely to refuse buying something because of the lack of fragrance, but someone is extremely likely to not make a purchase BECAUSE of fragrance.

I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago. Yes I have been living under a rock. 😂 As a 52 year old woman, I have had a hard time finding someone who can show me how to apply makeup on mature skin. Then there was you. THANK YOU!!! I love your reviews, like this one which literally shows it does what it is designed to do, and your tutorials. I have subscribed, hit notifications, and I will continue to follow and watch. You are so amazing, and very relatable.

I just bought this make up spray after watching few videos including yours. The scent is not that bad honestly! The spray is heavy in almond (?) scent. Base on ingredient list, it really look very similar to the other make-up spray, they all contain hairspray ingredient "PVP" but it does work better then the previous spray I tried. (For example, Lancome...) It does dry up my face a little bit (it doesn't have the drying alcohol, so it's probably just really putting make up in place). So far I'm happy with it!

Bought the purse size bottle and will get it in a few days. Figured it was a good way to try it out myself. Most fragrances don’t bother me much but I understand. I am that way with Patchouli. I HATE that stuff. Instant headache and nausea. Thanks for your thoughts!

Wayne I’ve been watching your videos since I was 12, I’m now 21. I’ve always respected your knowledge and honesty. Unfortunately, times have changed and cancel culture is out to get anyone and everyone. People want to nit-pick every little detail. Please just continue to do you! Be selfish, be happy in the content YOU create. KZbin is YOUR job, what you decide to like, post, use, review and rate is absolutely your decision and yours alone. It’s sad that there are and most likely will always be people that will never 100% be happy with what you do, but just remember you have a VERY loyal KZbin family that have always and will always love and support you!

Love you, love Charlotte. Her stuff is expensive but so many of her products have become my holy grail items. I'll never understand why people can't just not buy something if they don't like it 🤷

I love hearing your perspective on the products you use, recommend, and those you do not. I think it’s awful that there are people that would attack you for your opinions. I, for one, say thank you!

I’ve bought quite a bit of CT makeup (I thought why the hell not you only live once and I could at the time). I love it, I put it up against my Mac, Bobbie brown, too faced and no7 products and this just applies so smoothly feels barely there, doesn’t cause breakouts and stays in place.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your honest reviews. I was honestly going to buy the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray (and wouldn't have known about the scent as we're not allowed to sample during Covid19), but I HATE scents in my makeup/skincare. You just saved me money! Grateful.

One of your very best videos! Love to see you looking so happy. ❤❤ So grateful that you mention the scent. I too am sensitive with both headaches and asthma. What a wonderful story about Charlotte Tilbury. She was so generous sharing her talent with you. It makes sense that you would be drawn to products of someone because of the kind of person they are. Your honesty and candour in acknowledging your bias is so refreshing in these days. More orange shirt and wiggles. You're looking so good in the layered shirts..... AND the phone call.. so wow... you're all so friendly and polite and then the face after the call ended. I burst out laughing. Honest review, Information, and loads of fun. Keep being you.
