Great reaction! Ronnie wrote the lyrics about 10 years earlier while he was in prison, fighting to become clean from heavy drugs (heroin I think) and looking at himself in a mirror. So it's literally about a drug and addiction. But one of the things I like about Ronnie's music is that while the lyrics are deeply personal they are still open to interpretation and you can relate even if your "problem" is very different. Have you seen I'm Not A Vampire Revamped by Falling in Reverse, yet? The video won several international film prizes, so I think you'll like it. Greetings from Germany

After watching this video like 10 times and really listening, I kind of got that feeling he was referencing inner demon that plagued his mind but I had no idea he was fighting to become clean of drugs. Thank you for sharing that information! Now I know. . .and yes you are right others have many interpretations when it comes to music. Immediately after this one you should watch the original from about 12 or 13 years ago to hear the difference and see the very different aesthetic and videography styles. Same with I'm Not A Vampire and I'm Not A Vampire Revamped back to back. The original songs and the reimagined/revamped songs have the exact same lyrics but the musical composition, the music videos, etc are so very different that they really are different songs and really show Ronnie's range as well as his growth. You will enjoy the Trilogy (Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, and Drugs - in this order,) Popular Monster, Zombified, Voices in My Head.... If you watch the videos in order from oldest to newest (all the way up to Last Resort Reimagined) they all tie together with certain elements that Ronnie uses as "Easter Eggs" to make them kind of like the cinematic universe of FIR!

You were right, listening to the original you know the lyrics are deep but you actually feel them in these versions. I've been sober for over 6 years now. I don't know if you know Cedric Geigel but I have been following him for years... and there is another artist that is very cinematic he's a foreigner from Kazakhstan... His latest cinematic masterpiece is called When I've got you and before that another mini movie like this is... Is called The story of one sky the artist is going to be 30 in May Dimash Kudaibergen.
