The first time I listened to Ronnie, I was maybe... 15? His old band is part of the reason I even started listening to heavy metal in the first place. The fact he's still out there absolutely slaying the vocal game is insane to me. So it's for that reason, I am so stoked to be able to put out this reaction to his newer stuff. Falling in Reverse continues to ignite and evolve the part of the metal world my roots fall deeply into. I’m no singer or expert on music but I’ve been a little metalhead since I was six years old (my family always played gospel music but I discovered Alice Cooper when I was six & that set me off down the path of rock & metal). I’ve always been “different” & music speaks for me. It somehow says the words I can’t seem to put together. You can always tell my mood by the music I’m listening to. This is such a beautiful song & really hits home with me. I feel like RR version of last resort is the adult version of the original. It hits differently and I think that has to do with relating to the original more when I was younger (teen angst sounding) vs RR version appeals more to my adult self and feelings and I love it.

That is 100% love like winter vibes. I can't believe I didn't clock that before! He annunciates almost everything... EXCEPT for when he still weverbewaiiitts. AFAIK Ronnie is actually playing the piano, but I know that Sean Rooney (a pianist) composed the arrangement for reimagined. ngl I found it easier to cry hearing "but within the expanse I finally see, a world without you isn't meant for me" live. The pain (no pun intended) just feels so real

You're right Sean Rooney composed it but Ronnie isn't actually playing the piano in the video. I learned this on piano and during the piano solo part he's clearly not playing the right notes (still looks cool). Everything you hear on the piano is 100% Sean Rooney playing. He has a KZbin video where he shows the original piano track used for the song.

Elizabeth mentioned it earlier in the song but i feel like the shifting of the reverb size during the screams at the end was truly legendary, especially when the music was huge sounding but ronnie's space ends up collapsing in to sound like he's there alone in a tiny room right next to you while he's saying "can't you", before it explodes out to being huge again. You rarely hear reverb used as an instrument but they really nailed it here.
