There’s something hypnotic and magical about the rattling noise those popping corks make. Someone could just rattle one in the grocery store, and they’d have my full attention.

The following scenario could actually occur: I walk up to the deli, in the grocery store, and I’m about to order some chicken salad. I say hello to the lady and start to place my order, but then she starts shaking a rattling cork in my general direction. I would completely forget why I was there and just stare at the cork and smile.

We just don’t grow em like that in Mississippi. Maybe somewhere but definitely not the ten Tom waterway. There is an old river that runs by it in bigbee Ms an it’s a blind hike an I haven’t been since a teen an I’m 41n . If we did go tho we catfished a took alot of extra hooks due to the hang up spots . Man that’s good fishing and good eating ! 😋

We were in your area 2 weeks ago. Been coming down from Arkansas for several years now. We caught em pretty decent. 2 bull Reds well over 20lbs (our scale maxed at 15lbs) were caught in like 18” of water. All artificial. Such a good time down there.

Some of my best spots are off of a place with current. I call them rivers even though they are in the middle of the bay. One of my favorite spots is a channel with islands along it and a large flat behind the islands. During the tide change there are rivers from the channel to the flat in between the islands

alot of folks dont know you can get alot of different lengths. you have to order them.. most stores just carry a few sizes.. I have some that are 20 years old and still strong as ever.. great rods to keep in the truck, or boat, and not have to worry abt them. do you remember the old ugly stick commercials, where they would slam them in car doors,. step on them, all kinds of crazy stuff.. @@OutsidetheLevees
