In classic (specifically on pvp.land) you get 5 arrows so wasting an arrow to bowboost makes it a lot riskier as you could deal 2 hearts with a regular bow shot instead. However, the abundance of arrows on mmc makes bowboosting literally optimal. There’s no reason to conserve resources. I think bowboosting is a great mechanic, trading ranged damage for mobility in order to get a greater damage return with an unexpected melee combo, there’s risk and skill involved. The issue is in BUHC your arrows do so little damage that bowboosting becomes optimal and people spam it nonstop. At the same time, reducing the amount of arrows you get in BUHC would be dumb since they deal so little damage and it becomes less useful than a rod except for those moments where you get a ranged kill on a low health runner. Bowboosting is OP and meta on MMC, not to mention it’s so trivial to do no matter your skill level. Any other server with bowboosting can launch you sideways, backwards and takes practice to properly aim where you go. MMC isn’t a good server for competitive pvp, it just isn’t. Hypixel is a good server overall, despite several bugs, but it does what it does best: mini games. MMC is good for practice and helping new players adjust, that’s why everything feels so alien and weird for seasoned players. TL;DR: Mmc is babymode, anyone can bowboost with ease and lack of practice and it hands you free wins. Managing bow boosting and arrow amounts is difficult because balancing purposes. Good video :)
