This feat of endurance is almost impossible to convey. Sean Conway is currently attempting to undertake something that no human will have ever done. 102 Iron Distance Triathlons in 102 days.
That is 3.8km Swim, 180km on the bike and finish with a marathon. For 102 days. Just let that sink in. It is an effort on the very limits of human capability and understanding. And Sean does it with a steely determination and incredibly positive spirit. It was inspiring to be just a small part of.

Those really long events generally don't get much attention like that french guy who crossed every continent except the arctic within a year. 80k/day on average. 8liters of water/day. Or the transeurope run. People are too fast-living for that🤷‍♂️

@@marks-0-0---- I agree most people don't challenge themselves, but this is so outrageous it borders on a mental illness. I've done more challenges in my 68 years than anyone I know, but somehow I find this more disturbing than celebratory. This man will have lasting injuries from this feat, and it will certainly not add quality years to his life. I wouldn't recommend this type of personal physical abuse on my worst enemy, if I'm being honest!

Speechless. The farthest I’ve run in one go is about 22 miles. I just can’t wrap my mind around it. I was watching a video about ultra runner Courtney Dauwalter, and she apparently hallucinates regularly during races. I’m sure Sean has had this experience and then some. It’s definitely an unearthly physical feat, but the mental strength is even more awe inspiring I think. I’d love to hear more about how he is able to push through the pain. That being said, you guys also blow my mind with all that you’ve accomplished. I’d love to hear your guy’s take on the pain cave as well.

Even I cant, the furthest I ever ran in one go was 102 miles in 15 hours 50 mins around the lake district (during Covid) but this is absolutely on a different planet, there is a degree of fitness you can achieve when it becomes mind over matter, BUT once wear and tear sets in there is no pushing through that without causing serious harm, I am very interested to understand how he can stay injury free for such huge lengths of time with so little recovery in between, and he doesnt look like a young chap (As in a 20 something). this is truly insane, amazing what the human body can do

Also, why stop at 102? I mean it's not going to get you a nickname like Iron Cowboy. Rather if you're going to put 102 days into such a venture, beat it big. Maybe an even number like 111. Eleventy-one. Maybe then he can get a nickname like the Bilbo Tri-gins.

It must be so hard to keep going. But the way I see it, is like someone working a super physical job(many people do especially nowadays in less fortunate countries), day in day out sometimes for years.
