But Loki is dead on the sacred timeline so his future really only exists if the TVA exists. How the Ancient One, the dr strange lady, explained time is how it works within universes on the sacred timeline.

I always love how high the stakes are here. Each branch is basically a whole universe, and trillions of lives or more are on any one of them. Take note, this is all humans, all non-human animals, all planets stars and vegetation. All lifeforms and objects, gone. Thanos, with the Infinity Gauntlet, was only a threat to 1 single branch and half the lifeforms on one. So they weren't kidding when the infinity stones, in the TVA, were seen as nothing much more than a paperweight.

The TVA was supposed to be outside of time, so Time Slipping wasn't even thought to be possible. But as we found out, the TVA has had a past and changed or was remade a few times. So Loki going back and forth in time was just something within the TVA, not in any regular timeline. Everything works differently in the TVA so him going into the past and affecting the future could be believable and linear. They never explained why this only happened to Loki. Maybe in future episodes we'll find out.

Episode 1 ended with a bunch of hunters going off to do something supposedly involving Sylvie and Loki telling Mobius that they needed to find Sylvie. Why is everybody so confused that episode 2 opens up with them looking for Sylvie? Why does everybody think they missed something?

One thing you need to understand: Loki and Mobius do NOT need to simply gouge out an eyeball from He Who Remains, or one of his variants. pretty sure those are just squad or group numbers. There are the basic troops the Minutemen, then their team leaders the Hunters. B, C, D, etc. Like a military organization you probably have A squad, B squad, C squads, etc and those are led by the named hunter B1, B2, B3, C20, D90, etc

don't know why but Loki etc should be supporting the rogue TVA agents who are deleting the timelines. He himself said multiple times in the episode that releasing the branches will cause the variant Kangs to arrive and start wars and that the TVA WAS NEEDED to prevent that from happening. And the rogues are doing just that, deleting the branches to make it back to the way it was, which Loki now explains is what he wants. But he's still fighting against it, which doesn't make sense. Yes they are wiping out all life on those branches, but what does Loki expect, that is what is needed to eliminate the branches and keep the Kangs away. Very confusing lopsided goals they all have.

The disney plus shows did well and doing better then the dc hbo and cw shows on average for example.The only ones that did not do as well was ms.marvel and what if that still did well enough and only movies that flop from the mcu in phase 4 and 5 was ant-man 3 and eternals. The difference is that before they viewed variants and branched timelines as something less than real, therefore the elimination of those variants/branches was nothing to them. They had their eyes open to the truth they now know at one point they were one of those variants just living a life on one of those branches. They know they had their lives stolen from them but more than that they were tricked into stealing and destroying countless others' lives. They are now realizing they are the monstrous villains Sylvie always claimed they were.
