Loki didn't use magic much in season 1 because it took place mostly inside the TVA where magic doesn't work. But he did use magic plenty when he wasn't at the TVA HQ.

From what I've read i think Loki even in the movies doesn't use magic that often because he was always ridiculed for it on Asgard. Thor and his friends were warriors and apparently they often made fun of Loki for using magic (seidr) because it was seen as womanly so he started to use daggers. Don't know if that's really true but it would make sense

I have had key lime pie and I've made it too. Key lime pie does not look like that. It's toooooo green. I'm sure they made it that green on purpose for visual effect. And, I think it's really some kind of gelatin that won't melt so quickly. Great reaction.
