@wingsofwinter2600the point of blue lock is(kinda spoilers so I recommend if you’re not caught up on the manga don’t read) Is how someone like Isagi, who is more built for mid fielding and passes and isn’t really cut out(initially) to BE a striker but can achieve their goals by sticking to their ego, practice, and their strive to get better to BE the best, if you’re caught up, then you’ve probably noticed that Isagi has been the one of the best if not the best strikers in blue lock in mentality alone, not to mention his ability to adapt to most players on the field and use them to his advantage. He’s able to to get people behind him for the sake of his goals and his scoring ability. I’d argue that the fact that “half” the community believes that he’s better a midfielder(whether they’re right or not) miss the entire point of blue lock, and don’t understand the story writing or character of Isagi Yoichi

@@JCXD7Lthis actually isn’t true. Originally blue lock was going to be about eliminating everyone to get one striker. But when the Japan Football Union said they wanted to cut the funds that’s when they proposed the Japan u20 match. Which then changed the blue lock project from finding a singular striker to making a full team and people finding their best position.

11:35 Some reactors misunderstood this part. Those who fail won't get a chance to play for Japan National Team, not that they can't play football in Japan ever again. They still can play for Japanese clubs or foreign clubs, just not the National Team. Another thing, all the players mentioned so far are real players, except for Noel Noa. Zico played for Brazil 1976-1986. Eric Cantona played for France and also Manchester United (my favorite club). He was infamously known for kung-fu kicking a fan who heckled him. 🤣 Pele, Messi, and Ronaldo are well known enough. Also, Euro and Copa America are going on right now, so you might be interested in watching Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe in action.

Anime that made me play football/soccer was Captain Tsubasa then Inazuma Eleven came out and it was peak football fiction then Blue Lock with it's "I'm gonna step on you for my evolution".. Man I love all these football animes. 😍

Yeah it's conceptually the opposite of Haikyuu! Glad y'all caught that - it can be 50-50 for people bc of that, because ppl usually like sports anime for the teamwork, but it's good to watch to spice up your sports anime repertoire bc of it lol - and I like the characters being insane lmao, the first challenge got me hyped It does provide the toss up p clearly though, the objective vs subjective elements of sports - at the end of the day it's a competition, though you may make friends and need to rely somewhat on others, someone has to score and that's what'll actually put you on the podium. (Haikyuu and Blue Lock are like on opposite ends of this, and I'd put Kuroko no Basket around the middle of it actually, bc of how the storyline goes, but that's my own thoughts XD)

The early part of blue lock remind me of inazuma eleven GO where the MC started out only good at dribble but improves as times goes on. Like inazuma eleven GO the stakes are high it can range from the characters losing their life and,dream to literally saving earth from being swallowed by a black hole. Of course inazuma eleven focus more on the entertainment and insanity part

HA LET'S GO First ep is fuckin psyched dude, excited for this - also thanks for saying football lmao Though I ended up not liking where the storyline went in execution and dropped watching it, I really liked the way Blue Lock slams sports anime fans with egocentrism over teamwork, uprooting the genre's general vibe. It switches it up and that's what makes it fire. And to your point Rise! I get any mixed feelings/apprehension about sports anime with a bit of fantasy elements - Haikyuu is fairly realistic throughout, but yeah it took a bit for Kuroko no Basket to then grow on me bc of it. I think as long as your prepared for that though and take it in stride, you can get engaged in the storyline, because the concepts are still based on real stuff :P
