I watched MTV2 like crazy when I was fifteen and I loved staying up to watch Wonder Showzen. Man, talk about a roller coaster of emotions it provoked: amusement, sadness, disgust, anger... I've got both seasons on DVD and the episodes only get better with each viewing. My favorites are probably "Patience" and "Cooperation", which were designed specifically to drive viewers absolutely insane.

Omg!!! The first time I watched this show was at a neo-nazi’s house while on mushrooms for the very first time. First of all I didn’t know that the guy was a nazi until I started tripping and noticing all these red flags (no pun intended) all around his house. But I was stuck there.. then he put this show on and it was so disturbing… I ended up just leaving and walking through the woods by myself to get back to the safety of my own home. Once I got home I just laid in bed and laughed and laughed uncontrollably for a couple hours and then passed out. When I woke up the next day it felt like such a fever dream.. especially this show.

"Lordy, that lord meat is ass kickin' hot." "When you order a 6 piece nugget and they give you 7... and a switchblade!" "Would you like to use this napkin to wipe the blood off your hands?" This show is almost more quotable than Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Thank you for covering this absolute gem. It's definitely not talked about enough. Another wonderful segment they had was called Q & A, where they asked kids to answer a question like "What is heaven?" or "What is happiness?" I'm surprised now memes haven't sprang from those segments. The red headed kid reporter also dressed up as Lil' Dead Pope and talked to people on the street which was just... just fantastic. Fun fact: the season one DVD contained a "hang in there" poster where Chauncey was swinging on a noose. Definitely a conversation starter when you hang that up in your apartment.
