No guys, the real story is that he changed his name so united can't activate his buy back clause. It's A loop hole in the contract negotiations as he filed paperwork to change the name he's registered as. Look it up yourself. He's free from any sub section clauses and not contractually obligated anymore to the buy back clause.

I believe he is a better option. Good enough for amorim and in case amorim leaves, suits a back 4 too. Dorgu is versatile. His right wing ability as an left footed RWB the 40mil asking price being 20mil addition on current valuation seems quite much. If they could look out for a good dribbles with a good cross but defensively solid engine would help amorim. Ten hag needs to be seriously vehemently questioned how he let carreras go but also not believing in amad. I am so against purchasing players for a manager instead of purchasing for the team. So players that are to be purchased should be comfortable in a back three for current circumstances but also good for a back 4 if amorim leaves

Getting some more experience and development before returning. If we can get Dorgu for around £25mil, Alvaro for £15mil odd, and trigger Frimpongs release clause for £35mil, we'll be sorted for wing backs. That's around 80mil and we'd have some depth and tallent. I know some folks want Quenda, he's amazing but he'd cost the same as all 3 players combined. 😅 With Amad and Maz able to do a job there, and Diego Leon and Harry Amass developing.

Honestly I think Dorgu’s the better option at LWB and would also be the overall better signing, he’s much quicker than Fernandez, stronger and a better ball carrier.. also having the ability/intelligence to play as an attacker also in midfield and center back would be a plus for the team.. I’d say Fernandez is better technically tho, can deliver better crosses into the box and slightly better at linking up with teammates.. but Dorgu’s sheer pace and strength makes him a better option for the LWB position.. he’ll do really well against opposition fullbacks given that he’s strong af and would probably over them with his pace + strength (ball carrying ability), also he’s not too bad technically, he’s got an eye for a pass and could still get better, he ticks more boxes IMO.

I think Dorgu is massively overrated atm because people are looking for reasons as to why he’d be a good signing and because he has more weaknesses in his game compared to Alvaro, his strengths are being overrated

@@AtlantisFootball Honestly man, i think Fernandez is slow compared to Dorgu😅watching both of them, you can easily tell Dorgu’s faster and much stronger.. he has also got that attacking mentality to take on his man and dribble past (which is a must have ability for a wing back) cos he’s played in forward positions on multiple occasions, ofc he has flaws.. like his crosses aren’t outstanding (they aren’t bad either) and he can be a bit clumsy/rough in tackles, but he’s just like any other young player with flaws, they learn over time, he’s much more complete than Fernandez.. IMO Fernandez is alot calmer on the ball, can pick out passes, very technical, overall progresses the ball nicely but Dorgu is just built for the PL, he’s decent technically, fast and strong af, can easily bully opposition full backs and wingers, very two footed, aerially good, much more versatile *a good player for the squad incase Amorim leaves later, he could easier fit into other managers plans.. he’s just the better signing bruh, plus the club know they have a buy back clause on Alvaro and are not even considering it cos he’s been at United before and they know why they sold him in the first place…

But there's few things we dont know 1) Why did United get rid of him in the first place, is there a personality issue or perhaps a reason he wanted to return to Iberia. 2) Does he actually want to come back. A buy back is not the same as a loan recall.
