bro pro tip here. put 5 jig heads on about a foot or foot and half apart. put white curly tails. red blue and greens sometimes work also. and do this same thing except with jigs and work it back with crazy action and load up 5 at a time. :)

About twenty years ago we used to catch the skipjacks behind Kentucky dam where they would swirl around by the thousands. We used crappie jigs and would catch one on about every other cast. We froze them and used them in the summer to catch catfish on trotlines. For some reason, since then they have become very scarce and harder to catch many. There are a huge number of asian carp in there now, so maybe those have displaced the 'jacks.

A baitfiah that feeds on smaller baitfish, I interesting, out here in So Cal, we only have threadfin shad, if we have em, some waters don't. Now in the ocean, we do have mackerel Mackin on anchovies, when the chovies are around,.. they've been elusive lately, Sardines are the go.
