Makes a pretty good difference sound wise..I have a 2017 420 rancher n you pick up a little bit by taking that"BOLT" out. Spark arrested is what that is and I order to be legal on all your public trails that "Screw" lmao has to be installed on your machine.

That screw is meant to blast the carbon buildup out the exhaust to prevent the exhaust from having too much back pressure not to gain power….

You take that Screw out to purge the muffler. That's what it's for.
