I had some stuff installed at car toys one time and they installed the amp and crossover under the corner of my kid's floormats in the back. It was totally jacked and made the mat stick up and my kid couldn't be there without kicking it. Was crazy because it is a toyota highlander with five other good places to mount it. Raised a ruckus and had them put it all back the way it was before they touched it. Still took 500 bones from the 3.5 k I paid to pay their installer for all his "hard work".... This is how it all starts lol. Im running a single Digital designs 3500 w/Digital designs M1d with second battery and altima red top with the same box in my 4runner it hits HARD. I want to go up but I enjoy the advantage of keeping most of my space in the back.

My "wall" is upgrading to an aftermarket alternator. I want to keep things mostly stock. I have 130amps of flow in my 08 Highlander and that is it! 1/0 big3 upgrade is all I've done(helped keep volts more consistent) and my 15" Skar EVL isn't really leaving me wanting. It flexes my car to the point of me worrying about it lol...my wife is always telling me to turn the bass down already.

Pretty impressive for a stock alternator! I have a 12" Kenwood Tornado sub in my Ranger regular cab, pushing around 820 watts on the stock alternator. Works perfectly, and the lights never dim. The stock 6x9's work as tweeters. It's enough to make the rear window flex, and the rear view mirror fall off.

Q bomb does have there own subs too.. called Q POWER i had 2 of the 12s .. nothing special at all lol.. i blew em both .. also Qbomb boxes are JUNK!!!! i had a VFL hybrid 4800.1 and it blew the seem on it/. blew the Q bomb box with 1 TypeR O>G the 16yr old ones lol still rocking 2 of them to this day GOING hard , still thowing me surprizes haha

To increase the interior volume of the subwoofer box. If the sub was inside, the box would need to be much bigger to achieve the same volume. Think of ice in your drink...if you ask for "no ice" you will get much more actual beverage because the ice displaces the beverage in the internal volume of the cup. The subwoofer displaces the box airspace in the same way. If I could get McDonald's to somehow mount my ice above the cup to cool my drink so that I get a full cup of coke I would do it. That is basically what he is doing here. Also kinda cool to look at and probably safer for the woofer being that the box is used as an armrest.

I have audiopipe speakers and you can fit 8 gauge in those wire terminal... It's tight but that's subwoofer probably needs a little bit more power getting to it since it's rated at 1800 w to 2500. He's not going to have it very long though if he keeps running it on stock power he's going to drop the voltage too low and destroy the amp and the maybe even the sub at the same time... I suggest you get at least a cigarette lighter voltmeter for like 17 bucks so you know you're good.. not hating just looking out for you bro..

I only have a single 15" Skar EVL in their prefab loaded enclosure and it makes people trip in traffic... they either roll their windows up or they roll them down and honestly it goes as big as I want my bass to go. Mirror is shaking, panels and roof are flexing. Anymore will destroy my car I think. It replaced a JL tw3- 12" that didn't quite get there...I can't imagine rolling around with 20k watts and 4-6 subs bangin...

It's inverted. It allows you to get more internal volume since you no longer have the sub woofer displacement volume. basically lets you get louder in certain applications.
