Pretty proud of this episode. It’s not even close to my full story because I lived in many towns, but this town was special to me in my formative years of skateboarding completely disconnected from any kind of industry. It wasn’t planned for us to go there on our road trip, but it just happened to be on the way as per usual there is some footage that was lost because it got deleted on my phone. But this is what I got. I would love to hear about where you’re from and what the 2000s mean to you thanks for watching everybody. ❤️‍🔥🙏🏼🛹

@@offgridskater I'm from Kentucky. In 2000, I was 24. What I remember most is the music. Metal, punk, and Electronic music. I remember how Korn was so different and just blew up crazy. I don't live where I grew up anymore either. I live an hour and a half away. Most of my friends either died, in jail, or just faded away. Still playing Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Genesis regularly. So glad I grew up in the 80s when everything was still cheap. These kids today are going to have it rough with the way it's going.

@@offgridskater The unique skating and terrain, the hometown friends/vibes, the hill bomb. I grew up in NJ and have lived very close to the Delaware River on the PA side, so seeing you return home slightly upriver is very nostalgic. This really captures what skating with your friends for the pure fun of it is like.

Holy moly!!!! I’m from SULLIVAN COUNTY ALSO!!! Liberty Ny….. Your story was so interesting and inspiring…. I’m also in my late 30s was also 15 at the time of the century maybe 16 and I’ve started skating again with my 17 and year-old sons…. There is still not much here to skate. There’s one little park in Liberty. That’s not fantastic but if you’re in transition skating, it’s perfect for this town… spend the majority of my time parking lots cruising the black top….😮

Yeah, it was a trip to see him. His name is Rio. He’s actually a bit younger than me and I only knew him as a little kid, but he used to rip. It’s crazy how life is.
