Hey guys, welcome back to another lesson. Today I am going to show you how to play a slow blues on the acoustic guitar.
You will learn how to play a Blues in E using the fingerpicking technique, melody, and blues chords that are so characteristic of this music style.
The Blues is a simple style full of emotions, expression, hearth, and soul. African Americans created it in the early 20th century and quickly became one of the most important influences of popular music.
I am not a blues player, but I love this music so I hope I can inspire you to play more of this beautiful style.

Exactly. He's demonstrating absolutely straight 12-bar blues. It's called 12-bar because in 4/4 time it takes 12 measures to complete the cycle. (I play piano and sax. I'm finally learning the guitar.)

@@joycesanders4898 Everything is relative. Lol. For example, when I first started, I tried Justin's play-along lesson on John Denver's hit Country Roads. It was impossible. I "knew" the chords but it took me 3 or 4 seconds to get my fingers in the right spots for each chord. Hopeless. Three months later, I came upon the video again and played along with it straight-off. I practice a minimum of 15 minutes a day or longer, every single day without fail.

Never hAve i ever seen a B7 chord mentioned, its one of my favorite for years . Play the d7 , a7 , then e and then e7 ,. Drop the little finger back and forth to in e7 mode and roll into B7 ..., works .... thanks.,,👍

what do you mean you have never seen B7? Normal 12 bar blues is using the 1-4-5 chords. Not the 7 chord which would be the D

Hey there! 👋 a super transformational epiphany keystone lesson. Will play it over and over until I can play it in the dark. Do you have a suggestion for a song to segue into at the end which I think would be fun?? There are a million I know but right off thinking maybe “Cars Hiss By My Window” by the Doors. Marco can you PLEASE tell me the chords they are playing in this song PLEASE ? Ive been trying for weeks. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3SyioGfocpqpck&start_radio=1 It seems that they are playing the F#m chord & G#m Chords, are they ? BUT THE PROBLEM IS, it doesnt sound like that on my guitar !! Any explanations how i can make it sound like that rhythm ??? Thank you so much

@@JKRowl He has his guitar tuned down a whole tone (2 frets so his 'E' string is sounding like 'D'.) so his 'A' sounds like your 'G', To make matters worse, his tuning is a bit off so the sound won't sound exactly right if your guitar is well tuned. To play the piece and get roughly the same pitch on a regularly tuned guitar: Am - Dm - C - G. Good luck.
