Hermes is one of if not the most benevolent gods in the Greek pantheon. He helps heros out in a lot of stories and sometimes he helps them out purely for his own entertainment even if it means starting beef with other gods. He's the god of tricksters and theives but is also one of the most trustworthy gods and kind of comes across as the champion of the underdog. Also before you guys ship Hermes and Odyseus too hard, Hermes is Odyseus's great grandfather. I know that people point that out a lot in comments about this song but just incase you missed it.

@phoenix_Talaria I'm a practicing Hellenist I know that the majority of the pantheon is related in a lot of unconventional ways. I wasn't trying to be preachy, if they do want to ship Hermes and Odysseus that is there choice, I have no problem with it. I was just sharing the information in case they might have had a problem with it as I have had experiences with people taking issue with it before.

Hermes is not only the messenger of the gods, but also the god of travelers and thieves. He loves chaos. He's as close to a "Loki" figure as the Greeks get. He even stole Apollo's cattle. (NOT Helios' cows, but Apollo's oxen, FYI. Both sun gods like bovine, it's confusing.) Hermes is the sort who will help you purely because he loves to see what chaos this might cause. Does he ACTUALLY care about Odysseus? They ARE distantly related in most Greek mythologies, so he might prefer to see him win. Does he, instead, want Odysseus to continue on his journey because he has a tendency to piss off the gods and Hermes thrives on chaos? Ooooh yes!

Okay, my VP fangirl heart just surged at the idea. Cesar - Sassy-Cesar, Hermes, no question. Cutesy-Cesar would be a great Telemachus. Geoff - Both Zeus AND Poseidon. Bass Geoff for Zeus, and just wait until a certain song coming up at the end of the Thunder Saga. Geoff would CRUSH that. But tenor Geoff singing Poseidon? Be still my heart! I mean, Eli has the GRIT for that, but can you imagine Geoff in FULL ROCK GOD MODE??? And then dropping some subharmonics into the song just to terrify and arouse us even more??? Hell, he's ideal for Polyphemus too, and would probably make that character a million times scarier. Eli - Odysseus. I can imagine him doing that rock belt "PUSH FOOOOOORWARD!" back in "Survive," but like I said, he also has the rock grit for Poseidon. J None - He's Eury. We don't get to hear him nearly enough, and a heck of a sense of rhythm. Layne - The Winions. 🤣 But really, we've heard his angelic voice when Layne actually sings. Can you imagine him singing "Open Arms"? I would SOB UGLY TEARS if I heard Layne sing that. Rachel Potter - Athena. Helluva voice, can belt like a Queen. Ashley Diane - Circe. Breathtaking voice, sings Latin beats like a Reina.

Personally, Geoff would be my Zeus, Eli is my Poseidon, Cesar is my Hermes, Layne is a winion, J. None is my Eurylochus, Earl is my Polites, and Tony is my Odysseus.
