It sounds like it has a slight header leak in the idle position. The irony is, it sounds just like an old mud truck. Most of them have header / manifold leaks in one form or another. The sound brings another level to the illusion of scale 4x4 trucks.

I really wish the V8 sound effect would sound more like an actual V-8 than something you would hear in like a mobile game but still pretty good

You can download new sounds, you are not limited to just what it comes with.

Sound units are great. One thing for everyone to consider if running a sound unit is that not everybody wants to hear the noise, so please be considerate of others. It's kind of like when I go to the woods to see and hear nature, and I'm forced to listen to Mississippi Queen turned up to 11 by some guy who has never heard of earbuds...

One thousand percent agree. Loud sound modules or outrigger motors have definitely ruined my enjoyment or experience at a few RC events. These are from cool but don’t blast them in nature.

You can also use the JST off of your esc. If you are using lights just split it.

I have the new 2021 bronco… had to mount it in front because of clip housing on body. Not sure what I’ll do if I ever need the battery nook in front.

Can you describe how it performs when changing from Forward to Reverse? Do you have to pause when driving? My ESS ONE+ will go to idle perfectly, but if I proceed to Reverse from Forward (and vice versa) too quickly it goes to idle and 'gets stuck'. That is, it fails to detect the throttle is being applied. To be fair it forces me to drive in a more scale fashion, as in 1:1 it takes a moment to shift from FWD to REV and we often ignore that scale effect.

Ground air and water pal the systems are from sense innovations. associated is a primary distributor therefore their name is on the box. So wrong AE doesn't own it. Besides AE is now owned by Horizon hobbies which are dumb asses

Please help me🙏🏼 I have a trx4 defender and also have this dual ess I love it a lot and works perfect! so I bought another trx4 with the bronco body and got another dual ess... I plugged everything the same way as I did on the defender but this time, the engine sound only comes on when I turn the wheels! and no sound when I hit the throttle, can anyone please tell me what happened and how can I fix this problem??? I have a question What mode is your Trx-4 in? Trail mode or crawl mode? I just got the same sound module and I have my trx-4 crawl mode and I calibrated it in crawl mode but it doesn’t match up with throttle

My TRX4 is in the box stock mode (sport maybe?). Funny enough I didn't even know there were different modes available, a friend who just bought one told me. I have much to learn about my TRX4 ESC modes.

I thought you want a crawler as light and low center of gravity as possible? Seems like this would be horrible for the crawler physics. It weighs half a lb and mounts high up. Sounds awesome though!!!!!

Cool. I had this system on my Redcat Gen 7, so when I got my Gen 8 it was one of the first updates I put on it. Weights, bling and performance stuff make the trucks work better, but a sound system adds miles of smiles!

It would be nice if you can purposefully hold your throttle at half when calibrating it.. especially for crawlers. I bet that would have it Rev higher at lower speeds, just like your geared right down, stupid low gearing... Thats what I would try... because then you get some throttle variance as your moving really really slow.

Cool unit, however doesn't work on the Spektrum gear, tried it on the Losi SBR 2.0 and nothing. Threw it on the Tamiya TA-07 Pro with Hobbywing gear and bam 😂😂

Can this be connected to a crawler using a BEC?...When connecting the throttle chn 2 to the receiver you are required to remove the positive connection so not sure how to connect sound card.

at any speed it is clearly hundreds of rev samples and gets that computer sound..not sure how Sony Gran Turismo and other sims do it but they get a much better engine sound than this analog silliness

Hi. My sound system is hooked u? p to my Axial Scx10ii. I tried to hook it up to my axial 6x6 but the connectors don't want to slide into the receiver ports. I can't get the Y connector end to go into channel 2. can you help. I went to put it back in my axial scx10 ii cherokee now there is no sound. Lights are on the sound system, but no sound. can you help with that.

wow yeah your right i just tried it now . Mine connects to the software but the store link is dead . While I was waiting for my replacement S-link i had downloaded almost all the sounds so I can still change mine (Under local sounds)but yeah I guess your outta luck for new sounds on yours . You should still have the default sounds right ? I am also working on extracting sounds from PC racing games and converting them for the ess dual (rcx sound file), but it's not as easy as I thought , its been done obviously by sense just need that program lol . hopefully it's just a server problem at sense because it's a pretty cool hop-up . Also don't leave that S-link plugged into your computer for too long that's what fried mine .

no luck here after installation, into Traxxas Slash 4x4, there are two blue led lights, dim that are blinking, no sound? light blink with out power plugged in, and just having it connected to the Receiver.

Probably not as it's designed for 3s batteries at most, which are around 12V.

I hooked the yellow wire to a way plug and to the high low switch and left a plug where I could get at it so when I am rock crarwling I can unhook it because if I have to stay in low the horn will keep working hope this helps if you can find a better way please llet me know thanks
