It’s an amazing stadium, I didn’t realise that it didn’t host any professional sports teams. It’s a lot better than the Aviva.

Good video.The dressing rooms are the same size because officially there is no home team,but as dublin gaelic football team normally draw a crowd much bigger than there home stadium most of their home games are played in croke park it is the defacto home ground for dublin.You were quite right as to the importance of counties in irish culture and as a result the government doesn't mess about much with county boundaries the way they do in the UK and when they do its within the former boundaries of the county such as county dublin which is technically 4 administrative counties and tipperary which was 2 admin counties fom 1 admin county and now back to 1 admin alll within the old boundaries.Northern Ireland is different as the local government units don't follow the old boundaries ,the GAA do however but as the GAA though strong in NI theydon't have as strong an influence therefore local boundaries change all the time,and of course because its in the UK where thats par for the course.Just a few titbits,no corrections as such as none were needed as i said you did a very good job.

Thanks so much my friend, I really enjoyed my trip to Croke Park, I’m a huge sports fan and it was cool to learn how important the GAA is. In the UK, people only tend to focus on football but I always heard Irish people talk about Croke Park. From the outside the stadium doesn’t look that big (due to hill 16) but once you get in I was so impressed. Definitely a better trip than the Guinness storehouse (my next video), I’d like comeback to Croke Park to watch a game.

@@ShaiExploresDaily seats take up more space which is why standing terraces are not as tall as the seated stands.Thankfully we have never had any major crowd related tragedies in ireland so standing terraces are still very common in our stadiums,but if it was not for a very forward thinking GAA official there would have been because there was a very dodgy situation emerged during a match in the 70s.

@@gallowglass2630 I asked why they don’t expand hill 16 to make it the same as the other stands and was told it would cost €200 million euros due to the housing and railway line behind it and it would stop lots of natural light from getting inside the stadium.

I was saying the same thing, it terms of capacity it’s on par with the Bernabeu and Dortmunds stadium and it’s only used for amateur sports.
