At the Gunflint Ranger Station in Grand Marais, MN, on their huge map of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, they have shown areas where tornadoes have gone through. They have caused problems for the travelers at times. Motors are not allowed on wilderness areas.

If the surface features are present, including storm mode, this could get a bit interesting in MN, especially in Northern MN particularly, where there will be enough 3CAPE (CAPE in the lower levels) to spin the shear and vorticity into the vertical for tornadogenesis

I see that prediction failed as weather is just that unpredictable and always will be. I flew professionally for over 30 yrs and fancied myself fairly good at reading weather with the original flight service guys who were the best at actually reading the atmosphere correctly. I miss them and the ability to walk in an see all the readouts and charts as they came off the teletypes
