Slug is one of my favorite rappers! I got to see Atmosphere live a few months ago for my birthday, and he came out and took pictures with everyone in the front of the line! He's a real 1 for sure! U could spend the rest of this year going through their catalog! It's that deep!

When you know the story behind the song, that last line hits so much harder. "Your son says 'hi dad' Your dad says 'whats up' And me, i wanna thank you but i won't. Ill just say good luck" Now that you now verse one was his son, verse 2 was his dad, amd verse three was himself; that line is like a right hook to the jaw.

Slug definitly got slept on..he has written some of the best rap stories in the game,heart on sleeve,emotions raw and open for all to see... Ants beats have so much flava and totally sit so well with the rhymes and feel of song.. As above it's his little man,him being dad's little man and talking down to himself like he's the little man...his dad hated this verse and caused some beef between them for a bit.. If you want more I'd highly recommend Became Die mother fucker die Good daddy Don't ever fucking question that.. All great example a of his skills with words.. Also Brother Ali is well worth a listen.. Us All the beauty in this whole life Uncle Sam god damn Pray for me

The first part of the song he's talking to his eldest son(he has 3) then he's talking to his father (whom has passed) then he's talking to himself. Sean is slugs real name. Jacob is his son. Craig is his pops.

This is to his son... To his dad craig... Then to himself Sean. This song made his dad very upset.. And then his dad passed away and slug never was able to tell him that he forgave him.

I'm happy someone brought up his dad and the fact that Craig was hurt by the song and they never talked about it. That's why I feel like the next song is a part 2 to this song. I know it isn't in the traditional sense, but I feel like it's a continuation of the same story so it fits close enough to call it a part 2
