Theories/things I noticed: -The redhead is precious and must be protected at all costs - Their employers could be a healthcare organization who want to use the crystals for their life-sustaining effect. They may or may not know of the effect that harvesting them has on the planet. - If we are dealing with a healthcare organization, the black haired girl may have received her prosthetic from them, which is why she is loyal to them - This is a very interesting short film with huge potential for sequels.

The story for the film evolved drastically as I was making it, but I definitely have a concrete idea of their backstories. I’m gonna keep it under wraps for now, since I might make some short comics about them, but thank you for giving it so much thought and love!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

1:03 Imagine if she spent countless minutes, an hour or two trying to find her boot, or even completely lost it because a critter ran off with her boot (Or boots if she took off the other one too.) because she just carelessly threw it off somewhere in unfamiliar territory and didn't look where she threw it.

Having different jobs for the exact same directive, research/reclaimation, helps if you work together. Their synergy is dysfuncional and does not form a positive outcome.

Speaking as another writer/storyteller and purely out of curiosity, did you mean for the ending to be so mysterious and inconclusive (/neutral)? Or were there time constraints that prevented you from telling as much of the story as you'd planned?

In my first version, there was a HUGE confrontation that would tie up the ending. However, my professor (very wisely) pointed out that I wouldn’t be able to animate all of that in my time frame, and so I stewed over it for a while, before coming to the ending I have right now. Honestly, I’m glad I changed it, because I much prefer this ending to my other one ❤️
