Valdemar did many mistakes in this game. He should have gone fast castle, make a trep or spears+palace guards and take down the tower and get his recourses back. Pentium Core played him like a fiddle.

Yeah one of the reasons you do a dark age aggression is to throw your opponent immediately out of their "prep" or plan, and force them to make mistakes more easily. That's why I love the Mongols, my opponents in plat/diamond very easily melt right in the beginning when they don't know how to deal with it properly and start panicking.

u can tell players like valdemar are very good at this game by the fact that he lost 2 digits of vilagers and still is ahead in worker count vs french that already produce vills faster. that is some skill right there

I don’t know man even with perfect execution with that drush it didn’t seem like it did a lot. Look at the vils and military count in 15:00. Maybe that’s the Chinese song dynasty efficiency but I don’t see dark age strategies being that viable in pro level AoE4.

tHEY SHOULD move more stuff (units and buildings) to the dark and feudal age. Currently most civs can only make spearmen. People just don't have the time to commit to an hour long game that's why FPS and things like fortnite and PUBG were so popular because there's no commitment. I honestly find early game aggression very entertaining. And whenever the game starts to drag out I feel like just quitting because at that point there's no strategy or build order just whoever has the higher economy wins in a tedious war of attrition. If RTS is to revive, it must evolve.

Abbasid can do the same but the vills cost nothing :D and delhi doesn't even need to come to your base. Just takes the sites and forces you to come there. The only problem I have with chinese is the barbican rush

Core is one of those toxic players. Anyone can do this trash strategy . Its just toxic. Should've went with the dark age spear men to counter it. Then age 2 horsemen and raid his eco. That town center and tower really helped. You were wrong about that TC for sure,.
