The thinking thing is at least true for me. When a fight begins and I actively think "watch for malphite ultimate, malphite might try to ult me" my reaction time to it is fast enough for me to flash or Zhonya's it. While when I only knew malphite is in the game, and didn't actively in that moment think of it, it always seemed to come out of nowhere.

I use pinky on Q as well for QWER and probably like most other 4-finger users, I have flash on F. It feels a lot more natural to me and I'm pretty sure in terms of WPM, the proper way to type is to use your pinky for QAZ. Though I think it's common for people to use 3-fingers because there are people who are familiar with WASD movement with other games. I think there are however several pro players that also use 4-fingers like Faker based on some interviews. I also main Ezreal as a Diamond II player and using my pinky for Q is not a problem at all but I do have a background with piano which might help with some muscle memory on using the pinky more often. I'm not so sure why people argue it's bad to use pinky for Q. The most common argument I hear is that it's the "weakest finger" being used for the most common ability which I think is just a really weird argument that I don't find trouble with. I tried to google "reaction time based on finger" but couldn't really find a result besides a research paper that found that the results were pretty similar for each finger except for the middle finger which had a biological reasoning on why it was a little slower. "The thumb and little finger were the fastest. The middle finger brought up the rear. "You might think that this has anatomical reasons or depends on the exercise" said Dr Dinse, "but we were able to rule that out through further tests. In principle, each finger is able to react equally quickly. Only in the selection task, the middle finger is at a distinct disadvantage."

I will say I have my hand on the keyboard as pinky on q, ring finger on w, middle on e, and pointer on r. However, I also shift my hand to move down to the A key for attack move. As far as how quickly I type, I get around 80 words a minute on average. Can hit 100 if I am typing something from my head vs something written.

his starcraft analysis is on point. after SC2 came out, I started playing on ranked and see where I land. my strat was fast banshee every time while adapting on my enemy builds. once I hit gold, every game was someone all in, no exceptions. zerg always 6pool, protos always cannon rush and terran always proxy barracs with bunker drop. eventualy I adapted to this as well but got bored out of my mind because every game was just the same: I def vs their allin and proceed to win thx to better eco and noone ever figured out what to do if the rush fails. so I quit somewhere in high gold. So hearing that, it seems totaly possible, that someone hit dia-master by just using rush tactics

He would also not hit W most times. Q has a higher range and he wouldn't hit W because he wouldn't move forward. And every time he W'd the wave was a mistake. Edit: Yeah about Starcraft, you can get to plat with a decent build order and gold with decent macro and if you have both; Diamond. There's like, 4 core skills I would say. Build Order, Macro, Micro, and Assessment (Reacting to what your opponent is doing). You can get to Diamond or Masters with varying levels of the 4, but Macro is the most important for rocketing through early ranks. You could build the wrong unit but if you have 3x(+) your opponents units it don't matter. Same as in League. Can't get countered if you're 2 items and multiple levels up.

Ive had this happen during ny first few coaching sessions. It really messed up my game. I was averaging 6-7 cs a min and when i got coached i was under 3. As a starcraft 2 player I would hit diamond every season by skill checking people with a 4 gate stalker build so I moved over to league because ADC is the same mechanical skill set but overall league has a much more difficult mental game and the analogy of getting your units on the map faster than your opponent is a lot the same as can you get your items on the map faster than your opponent. League has the same skill requirements starcraft does but adds onto it more you need to think about as well as managing your own emotions and anyone who wants to say starcraft is a harder game I'd like to ask you why you think Season 5 of league didnt kill starcraft because it completely did.
