We used to call them snowglobe nails or oil nails 20+ years ago. They are so neat but be careful they have a tendency to foment fungus if anything less than scrupulous hygiene is used during application. I think its the oil and how much the side that is adhered is handled thus trapping more spores with more food under the nail. But I can't prove that , just something I noticed over the years

I wonder. If you put a sheet coat of black on top of ocean water, would it look like the night sky? And then you could paint on some sheer colors in streaks, like you did with the white, to look like the moving universe. Add stars in and oil and bam! Galaxy nails.

@melmelbry5754 It's an accessory more than a functional nail. Right now I have on square press-ons barely 1/8-1/4 inch/3mm long, and I can't open a flip top can of cat food without a tool or keep the under side free of lotion and chip dust. I can't imagine using my knuckles to apply sunscreen on my face, etc, and my typing is crazy inaccurate. These fantasy nails are definitely not for me!! My limit for daily is 1/2" ballet or coffin, and that's only when I don't have a heavy workload. I still love the idea of making some to wear to a party or something, tho. 😅😅😅

I had that idea too, but I actually hate the color of my dress. (Never trust online shops) I thought about babyboomer with blue in it, but that doesn't really match my style😅 I was also thinking normal babyboomers with a few rhinestones (or a white heart on the middle finger or white flowers on the index- and ringfinger) but I'm afraid that doesn't fit the dress at all :/
