Love the colors, but it really feels less like glowing lava, and more like deposits of half-molten sulfur. Still, perfect for a fire-and-brimstone hell, or (since I'm more of a sci-fi guy) certain kinds of volcanic planets. edited to add: now that I think about it, fluorescent red instead of the yellows and oranges would really sell the "molten lava glow" if you also have a blacklight or some blue LEDs. Might have to try *that* sometime...

I like the effect, as if the rocks were hot, but not molten, and additional light was coming from below. I saw the three rocks next to his previous suspended bridge, and I heard Elrond shouting, "Throw it into the fire!"

Love the floating rocks! A D & D friend of mine attached his by hooks to his ceiling they were so fun to play on because like yours they were really interactive and kept all the players on their toes. I’ve heard of sky villages and hell pits it’s awesome how you have a happy medium with both Jeremy. Once again a great 👍 idea.

awesome video! i cant wait for idols of torment to come out! side note: dremel does make a drill press and its rather affordable. i have one just for my hobbying. it also acts as a stand so i can have the dremmel on and manipulate the hobby piece around it, instead of trying to hold onto multiple things at once. makes it easier for me and my clumsy coordination. i love it for when i'm magnetising a lot of little pieces, like weapon options. i double checked before posting this and its on amazon for 45 USD.

I've been working on this very project for the last few weeks. I wanted to go more with a stalactite look rather than a floating Rock so I did the top surface in foam and then used aluminum foil and toilet paper soaked in dental plaster to create the body of the stalactite. These things are pretty cool to play with. Love how you went out and found alternatives to dowel rods, I will have to remember that in the future.

real awesome pieces you've created here. To make the dowels even more black, you could spray Musou Black through your Airbrush pistol which creates a real uncanny effect. But on the other hand, I would consider putting xps pieces in form of flames on the base and giving them a fitting colour scheme. I think that could also look really awesome.

I definitely feel like if you're going to use yellow craft paints to try and simulate fire/lava, you've got to make sure you've got a *_really_* solid orange base coat under it. Otherwise, it can end up looking green (like it does around the top of some of those pieces here), which kinda messes up the effect. It's not a big deal, though, and this turned out to be a really cool idea.

Awesome work on those floating rocks. This sort of stuff would be cool for an adventure in the astral sea. The streaks of yellow on the sides could also be interpreted as sulfur deposits. Personally, I would just rely on lighting for the flame glue colors on the underside. It would also be cool to make their stands adjustable in height... maybe with magnets.
