I have totally questioned the ranges, especially on year! Previously if he said 7 he could get both 5 and 10 yr bottles, way too wide of a range. It’s impressive to see Josh nail them all. Sorry Erin, the show must go on!! Dig deeper (in the cabinets) 😂

I love Garrison Brothers Balmorhea. It's too early in the day, or I would probably be having a pour from my bottle now. It is distinctive. Out of all of the bottles in my collection, this is one that I would be highly likely to guess immediately if someone poured it blind for me. If you are limited to bottles from your collection, I think the only way to stump Josh would be to choose bottles that are the opposite of Balmorhea - non-distinctive, middle-of-the-road bottles that taste like stereotypical classic styles of bourbon, rye, or malt. If someone poured one of these from my collection, I would have a harder time guessing it. Alternatively, solicit samples from the community, use the sample pool, or go out and buy something.

Josh has a built-in whiskey codex. I would love this series to continue. Josh doesn't do well in blinds(livesteam) I think he has too much confidence, you need to pick whiskeies that are similar to eachother or maybe you need to find those hidden bottles.

Erin's lack of knowledge is a severe handicap. And it's only fair that Josh gets an equally severe handicap. I say decrease the margin for error. Guess within 1 year, proof within 2 points, bonus points available if he wants to take a guess, but if it's wrong Erin gets them. Josh should not hedge bets and make an accurate as possible guess. He has the knowledge.

On all but a few products, those margins are so tight it’d never get a single point unless I nailed the exact bottle, at which point the points themselves don’t matter and it’s down to whether I can bottle call one of 400+ bottles.
