Jonny didn't leave. He couldn't leave, just like Aaron(Dicksalot, the Sniper). What happened is that the migration system sent him to another server because there were no players on Blu team in that one. The monster said "Thank you" because it was able to follow Jonny through the migration system so it could infect another server. The server blight has infected Aaron, but not to the extent of the others, at least not yet. It's more like a carrier infection for Aaron. The blight will keep following Aaron until he's finally become one with it, or he some how breaks free from the infection. The only problem is that I think the infection slowly progresses overtime, so no matter how many times Aaron leaves by dying, he will eventually succumb to it fully, meaning the next time he dies, he'll be fully assimilated, just like the scout he killed, or the engineer that off'd himself with his tribal shiv. Everytime the blight manages to access the migration system, it will join whatever server Aaron is playing on, if he's playing at that time. Otherwise, it will just go to another random server. Aaron is pretty much unknowingly leading the Serverblight to unsuspecting victims, and he doesn't even know it yet.

Very much doubt it. There are other players that escaped the empty server like the spy. In fact we could see ammo appear which probably indicates that there was a spy in serverblight who was hidden this entire time. The infection is instant. All the blight need is am access to your body. What blight does however is learning from Aaron instead of actually killing him which is scary.

Here's my theory so far: It's a "parasite", Maybe what's happening is it's torturing the bodies that it's inside of. It spreads by going inside of a dead players mouth in form of a "hand", after that, it controls them like "Rabies" do. The hands and limbs being contorted is simply a side effect of being controlled by said parasite. It also has the ability to say past words/ messages, but not new ones because it didn't learn that "yet". It is also pretty intelligent, trying to stalk their prey instead of killing it instantly, otherwise if found out about it's presence, then it runs at you at fast speeds no matter the host, because the "parasite" is forcing the dead host to run no matter the state of their limbs or whatnot. Also.. It only hunts to infect other players by joining "dead lobbies", with only a "few" players. (3 or less) Someone reply to me if I'm not correct in something, but I think so far this is what I got.

@LudicrousInc. No idea so far, maybe with Future videos once they come out, there will be further lore. The Parasite is ingame afterall, so how it would kill the player outside the game I have no idea. It's more possible just that the player, gets disconnected, and has no more access to that steam account, which is now completely controlled by the "Parasite". You can't recover the account, and maybe it doesn't even appear as an existing profile if you were to search for it. Just a theory tho..

I kinda get what inspired the series so in quite rare occasions server will stop picking new players basically people on the server will leave but noone will take their places obviously autobalance ignores it for whatever reason and you may end up in 1 vs 6 situation it takes about 15-20 minutes for server to get right back to picking up players and it always happens by snap (like here: 28:25) worth mentioning that I've not encountered this tf2 "anomaly" in about a year so I assume they fixed it
