I've been on a couple Princess cruises and they had behind-the-scenes tours for the kitchens which are massive and kind of interesting, but no engine room stuff. I don't think they would take folks there for the liability and security, they're super tight spaces and you need hearing protection, etc.

Fundamentally the content is pretty similar to his MET armor content. Adam talking with professionals about impressive feats. @@Lavaman_E89 I think the MET armor content fits the channel perfectly since it appeals to the makers that inhabit this channel. Kind of an ignorant comment to be honest. These ships have state of the art water processing plants in them. The water they release back into the ocean is clean enough to drink. And the industry is ditching diesel. If you're going to bash an entire industry based on their past, then you may as well go after every other modern industry too.

@@jeffdesilva They only do, what they have to, where they have to. Where there are no regulations to adhere and no one is there, to keep them in check, there is no need to let profits going to waste. Ask yourself: did you now, that those ships have duel-fuel motors? Is the ratio of currently used bunker fuel to LNG advertised anywhere? Are they advertising the difference in working conditions - working hours, wages, social benefits - of crew members of different nations? Check up on everything and ask yourself again: why should it be acceptable to myself, to travel like that.

So much extra thought has to go into how to make this work for a vessel at sea. And as an engineer, this is fascinating... However, as a consumer... why go through all that effort, when during the entire event, i won't even notice i'm at sea... and really complex systems are actively trying to ensure that. Which begs the question: just why at sea, when you can do the exact same on land, for a fraction of the price, and a fraction of the environmental impact?
