Of course. You have 10 Banks each with five rigs. What you want would use Bank one just using two rigs, you can switch between them using any two footswitches. You could just use Bank one and have five rigs (add some FX) that you could switch between, seamlessly and instantaneously.

Hey Ola, Kemper introduced "Liquid Profiling" about 6 months ago, where you can tell the Kemper what kind of amp and tonestack you are using and where the knobs were during profiling. Then the Kemper emulates the function of said amp/tonestack and gives you a very good combination of profiling and simulation. So it can really do both now and allow for a faithful/usable editing of profiles.
@OlaEnglund8 ай бұрын
Yeah I did play around with the tonestacks a bit. I really just felt that it's more about where the EQ is working when using it. I still prefered the original profile without tweaking bass, middle, treble

I was given an introduction to the Kemper Player at the headquaters in Recklinghausen. There will be an update to fix some bugs and add more slots for effects (up to ten I think). Also the power adapter is outside of the kemper and not grounded, there is a noise when you only use your headphones and nothing else but the guitar is attached - they are searching for a solution for this.

How do you like the pod go? I’m considering the wireless. I’m looking for some thing that has all the depth and richness that I used to be able to get out of my stacks in the 80s. But I am now a dad and a dedicated headphone wearing guitarist now. Can I get that all that tone and response of the pod go as a standalone with a good pair of headphones? Thank you. All of the guitar plug amps, and the Waza have come up pretty short.
@blakeoms7 ай бұрын
@johnpaulstez personally I'm not a big wireless or battery operated type of person, but I would strongly suggest the pod go. I actually get a lot of my IRs from tone hunt (for free) and haven't had any problems, and the line6 custom pre set sharing with the community is even better. I use mine everyday day and I'm using it right now for my low volume practice on my monitors. And you'll find countless versions of a JCM800 and plexi' cause everyone has their own ideal sound for how every amp should sound, but that's subjective for what sounds "best" to you. I have 3 JCM800 presets and 4 Superlead and 2 plexi' that just sound amazing, you hear them and you're like this 🥴

Wouldnt it be great if this would also have a tube or power amplifier for live playing with a band? Also if you could add your ipad to this thing on top for easy set switching, where you could switch effects and amps easily per drag and drop would be awesome. Well i saw there is a function to connect your ipad, but the software looks horrible to me for easy and fast use on stage. If that would be refined with good UI design, i could get into it. Also Important to me is when i would use this thing, that i have a very similar feeling to a tube amp while playing.

I run a rack Kemper through a 90 watt 6L6 powered Mesa simul class into an old school 200 watt EVL 12" cab and it sounds as good as my real Mesa and Fryette tube amps. When I went to a guitar store, I made sure to always have my Kemper with me. If I found and amp I liked, I would ask if they would let me profile it. Some did, some did not. If they did, I would bring it in, set it up and profile it. So I knew EXACTLY what the original sounded like. When I got it home, I would try it out while the memory was still fresh in my head. Perhaps conformation bias made me believe it was a perfect copy, but it was amazing. I "collected" eleven profiles of very high demand amps that way. I even got a Dumble that had a price tag of $110k. But eventually it came back to haunt me. I left it in the trunk and came back out, it was gone. Someone smashed my window, popped the trunk lid open, cleaned me out. Whoever has my Kemper got it preloaded with some KILLER tones. I hope they choke on it.

It is great. But not for me, because it's only mono input. So doesn't play well with all the great modern digital pedals. Even newer analogue pedals like the Boss DM-101, CE-2W, Dimension DC-2W. And the Tonex is half the price, if mono was ok for me. Which makes Helix or Quad Cortex still the default at middle price.
