This TINY CRANKBAIT Is So Much Fun To Fish!

I had less than an hour to fish after work so I took a look at Google Maps and found this little pond... I had no idea what to expect from this pond but I definitely lucked out. There were a bunch of hungry bass willing to chomp my tiny crankbait! The Yo-Zuri Snap Bean is one of the most fun-to-fish hardbaits out there (especially when you use a bright color like pink). This tiny bait would be wiggling back to me and suddenly disappear because a bass absolutely smashed it. Honestly it was similar to topwater fishing because of the visual strikes.

100% agree! Good point on the "search pattern". Good way to quickly identify if fish are around if you get short strikes or follows.

I honestly don't know how more people don't know about how 🔥🔥🔥🔥 the color pink is for bass. It's probably my FAVORITE COLOR for spinnerbaits and soft plastics.

Snap bean is awesome. I'm a big fan of the Rebel ultralight crankbaits and minnows. Using a 1.5, 1.75 inch jerkbait and twitching it while snapping lightly on the retrieve. Fish just destroy them. Thanks Ethan and great video

There are some super cheap Amazon tiny cracks that are a blast to fish and no big loss when the bass break them off.

I think I actually have the ones you are talking about - come in a little 5 pack of numerous colors? For some reason, I have had a harder time getting good hooksets with those as compared to the Snap Bean. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if the hook is just a little nicer on the Yo Zuri. Either way, tiny crankbaits are a blast!

Love the Yo-Zuri stuff. Haven't tried the Snap Beans yet, but the Rattl'n Vibe mini and the ultralight jerkbait L Minnow are fire. Another one, and I'm not trying to sell you on anything, but the 6th Sense Crush Mini 25X is legit. Beautiful paint patterns, quality hardware, and will flat out catch. Only issue with ultra light fishing is, they only come in 1/4 ounce. We usually toss them in Light action rods, and roll with it.

Hey there G I Z M O, I appreciate the kind words :) I haven't tried it yet but I believe these would cast really well on BFS because they are 1/16oz and so small in shape that they wouldn't be too impacted by wind. Could be fun to bust them out for some BFS trout fishing this fall.

Love it! Some of the best times are spur of the moment right? I love my planned "half to most of" the day kayak trips, but we have a nice little pond 2 miles from the house. It holds multiple species, and has a nice pier. Can always count on it to provide an hour (or half) of fun.

I'm always using yo-zuri pin minnows for trout fishing and the color I always use is gold flame, for some reason trout loves that color and they hit that like it's nothing. now the one that you're using I never heard of before so it must be new, which by the way it's a cool little bait. Next my go up to Cabela's or go to Dick's sporting goods stores I'm going to have to look for them there. Anyway great fish catching and great presentation as well, enjoyed watching. Just wondering when you're going to be coming up with some new trout bait, Christmas is right around the corner. 👍👍👍👍

What's cranking Ethan? Random question - do you ever whip out the Ole baitcaster or have you gone full UL? I'm a 90-95% small jig kind of guy but every once in a while I like to get the big stuff out while fishing around grass and heavy cover. I Love the UL videos! Peace.

Thanks Randy! I don't rule any water out until I try it :) This was a pond by an apartment and there were no signs posted saying it was private / I couldn't fish it so I believe I was good to go. Google Maps is my best friend! Look for blue and then go try it :)
