Dude. As a guy who's done a bit of kayaking down rivers that got gnarly, this here is the truth. My brother got hung up in one a few months back and it was all he could do to not get suck under. A couple of us had to go back upstream, float some rope down to him and drag him out from shore. Probably took all of 3 minutes. Felt like 3 hours of him white knuckle clinging to a trunk. It was actually his kayak being a little too big and less agile that got him in trouble. Stay safe out there.

@Ryan Kiesow My friend during that time suggested bring a chainsaw. You can see on the lower river where boats can float obvious chainsaw cuts. But at that time we considered a chainsaw on the canoe and I was like Heck No! lol.

You rarely see flathead catfish that dark of color actually it’s very rare. I truly believe there’s 2 species of flathead catfish and the really dark colored ones are just very rare.

I been trying to fish the raccoon but the water is STILL too high & fast. Might try beaver creek this weekend but its still high
