We were headed to Dale Hollow to apply your crappie tips a couple of weeks ago, when my hubby had a heart attack packing for the trip. He is much better and I told him that he didn't have to go to that extreme to get out of fishing with me. Lol. I reminded him that you always say "Go fishing! It's good fer ya!" Hope you and Mamma Sue were spared in the hurricane. Your scriptures are a great encouragement that He is an ever-present help in our hour of need. Love you both!!!

We have been using that flashback chatter bait for a couple years. They are great. After the plastic that comes on it gets messed up I switch to the baby ballerz too. Redfish, bass, catfish, freshwater drum and panfish will eat it.

I know what you mean Richard. I used a splitshot and a fly 8 inches below the splitshot. I got snagged poped rig free, a 5lb smallie hit the fly and broke my line. I was bringing lure into retie and big mama hit. It's too bad I didn't catch her. This was during late July of this summer. Hopefully when next summer comes ill land her.

Z-Man Flash Back Mini. 1/16 oz and 1/8 both work for Crappie. REAL well! Change out the plastic that comes with it for Z-Man Baby Baller-Z and hang on! Should be killer this Fall. I've caught Crappie, Bluegill, Readears (Shell Crackers) and small bass myself. Never quite got a 6-7 pounder like the one in this video, but they really don't exist in the ponds I have access to.

@byhisgracefishing So not cool but don't throw the originals away because it makes an awesome micro hoover rig for crappie by using a small #6 bare jig hook and the smallest nail weight you can find to push in the belly. Yes the zman wormz I've order but haven't used yet, I just love the durability of the elastic. The flashback mini has been a game changer for me for 2yrs now🎣

Physics tells me that the ball on the tail of that Z-Man vibrates. Some might think the wiggle it imparts is the important part but I believe it is the vibration that occurs by the whipping action of the tail "bouncing" off that ball. As it whips back and forth slightly it gives a little "thump" every time it straightens out. What surprised me were those bass on that little bitty bait. They knocked the "far" (I say it like that, too so hush. 🤭) out of it. They knocked the taste out of its mouth…woo. I would not be surprised if that is Mama Sue's Mustang. Just saying. 😊🖖‍🎣
